I am 16 weeks pg btw.

But have terrible rashy skin, no energy, feel quite low and generally feel as though I am about to get flu. Have had cough for weeks too.

Anyway I know a lot of it is prob pg related, but what can I do to try and get a bit of sparkle back? I sleep quite well and eat well (although drinking coca cola atm to help get through the day).

Any tips?

I'm also not a big fruit juice fan but recently have started fruit/veg smoothies and they seem much more palatable than basic juice.

MI, I have Nigel's book (the American Version) of Appetite--I lOVE it. He has a chocolate pudding recipe in there as follows:

1 cup self rising flour
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup packed light brown sugar
4 oz roughly chopped plan dark chocolate
1 scant cup of milk
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1 beaten egg

take all of those ingredients and mix in large bowl, take this and pour into greased pudding basin. Then: mix together:
6 Tbsp Brown sugar
6 Tbsp caster sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
and scatter this on the top of the mixture. Pour in 1 3/4 cups of almost boiling water. Place the pudding basin in a roasting pan of hot water (halfway up) and bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. (180C)

I haven't made it yet, hope this is helpful and will save Enid a look! I don't have the other you were speaking about, must be in another of his books.

Enid - had a quick look in an old nutrition book. Think it sounds like a low level of B vitamins to me.
So, you could try cutting down on the coke (as B vits are water soluble and will get flushed out) and eating more B-vitamin rich foods?
