Oh Jesus

sorry

IngridBergmann · 13/02/2011 20:05

you could try wafting the kew catalogue near his feet. It gives off something.

FluffyMummy123 · 13/02/2011 20:10

lol

yeah it works! we stuck banana skin to his feet for about a week at bedtime (missed a few nights), but this seemed to only "soften" them a bit, but might have helped

got fed up and left them for a week or so

tried the duct tape for 3 nights - 3rd night, DS2 calls me after 1/2 hour in bed saying feet were itchy. pulled off tape and veruccas came with it - very satisfying! no pain at all (he had 5 really deep rooted ones for a year that bazooka etc had not touched)

a little hole left which healed over in a few weeks leaving no scars

truly a miracle in my books!

RiojaLover75 · 13/02/2011 20:24

Bloody hell! Never heard of duct tape treatment of veruccas before Shock

FluffyMummy123 · 13/02/2011 20:26

Oh my god. The ripping off bit sounds great

Do you just put it on at night, or does it stay on all the time until it falls off (hopefully with the verruca?)

tummytickler · 13/02/2011 20:31

We did this last summer with dd. We used the thick black really sticky tape (is that duct tape? We had it hanging around so used it anyway!) .
She had it on her feet for 24 hours a day and wore socks day and night. It probably took about a week or so. I did notice the verucas coming away but tried not to look too much. No pain for dd. She had quite a lot, and they all went very quickly.

werewolf · 13/02/2011 20:36

Did it with dc3's. Took less than a week for one of the small ones. The verrucas peeled off with the tape.

Very satisfying.

JaxTellersOldLady · 13/02/2011 20:41

does it really work? Will try this with DD who seems to get all sorts on her feet.

snowbobby · 13/02/2011 21:33

Does this work with warts on fingers? My ds has had one for a while

activate · 13/02/2011 21:35

doesn't work - we tried for weeks - but it was silver duct tape (like that makes a difference

currently trying Thuja - have been strongly recommended by 3 people and a podiatrist - supposedly takes 6 weeks

CountessVonKnackerstein · 13/02/2011 21:39

Duct tape? As in the electrician's shiny tape?
I might try that!

FoiledAgain · 13/02/2011 21:41

Do you leave the tape on all the time or take it off in the day?

FoiledAgain · 13/02/2011 21:42

Oh sorry - didnt read properly. YOu leave it on.

activate · 13/02/2011 21:43

we left it on - changed it at night - filed it down once a week

nada

we then bazookaed which appeared to make it bigger and more annoying

now we are thujaing - pills 3 x a day and oil once a day (you can do one or other but we decided on both)

RailwayChild · 13/02/2011 21:43

Silver duct tape. Not black electrician tape and worked on my DC's

Ingles2 · 13/02/2011 21:45

wow, that sounds really satisfying. Can't quite believe it works but then gaffer tape is brilliant.
sadly ds's have clean feet atm

Ripeberry · 13/02/2011 21:49

Urghh! Verrucas are those lumpy things with the black middle aren't they? Not had one since I was a kid and my DDs don't have any yet.
But I will file away this gem of information for future use Grin

MarioandLuigi · 13/02/2011 21:52

Wow, I have never heard of this - DS had one last year and it was an absolute nightmare to get rid of it. If I only I had known!

stillbobbysgirl · 13/02/2011 21:59

We used silver duct tape - brand name "Duck Tape" and put it on at night only as made feet sweaty during the day.

God pulling it off was sooo satisfying!

i want to pull them off!

Clary · 14/02/2011 00:22

roffle @ ingles' disappointment that her DCs have no verrucas...

I recall when I had a spate of verrucas many years ago (in Germany!) I used corn plasters with considerable success and had similar peeling off experience.

Prob not suitable for children tho.

DS1 has wart/verruca thing on side of foot actually

FluffyMummy123 · 14/02/2011 08:50

The pulling off I love
