HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:30

Toothache · 27/09/2005 13:31

lol HB NOOOOOOO! TBH if you only have one once a year I'd be inclined to say leave her alone!

HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:34

why this week though grrrrrr

typical !!!

seemed to have gone last night, i got all excited and called to say i could definatly go out and then this morning it came back grrrrr

thought they were only supposed to last 5 days???

HB - I'm confused..... why would you not go out when you have your AF??????? If we all did that I'd be housebound 1 week out of 4!

MeerkatsUnite · 27/09/2005 13:35

HuggyBear

Having one period a year can often be attributed to underlying hormonal problems that affect ovulation. One possible cause is polycystic ovaries. Its a common condition that can be controlled but not fully eliminated. I would suggest in the first instance you see your GP and if he is not helpful insist on a referral to a gynae.

Tallgirl · 27/09/2005 13:36

I have to ask why you need it to stop. Those of us with ordinary periods (once a month for 5+ days) have to carry on a normal life and leave the house!!

Sorry if this is personal question but you did ask for it!

HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:37

have been referred, got something where the ovarys produce eggs but tey get stuck to the ovary or someting like that (might be polysistic overies without the syndrome i think)am not sure

and tonight..... it just needs to be gone lol

OP posts:
HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:37

lol ok - cause i want to have sex!!!!

OP posts:
auntymandy · 27/09/2005 13:37

are you on a promise?!!!

auntymandy · 27/09/2005 13:38

you can have sex while you have a period

RayMacCooney · 27/09/2005 13:38

why do you need to go out to have sex? or is it not with dh?

Toothache · 27/09/2005 13:39

HB - BUT you can still go out even if you're not going to have sex....... and...... unless its incredibly heavy or you're on a 1st date then why can't you just have sex anyway?

You're married aren't you???????????????????????

Bozza · 27/09/2005 13:39

How long does it normally last? Is it not getting lighter by now?

munz · 27/09/2005 13:40

is it ahem really heavy? if it's only light then perhaps have sex anyways? (or ask if u can change the sex part to another time? )

HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:41

course to hubby

cause he wont do it if im still on and I've got a special night planned as a surprise for him (cause ive been a right moody cow lately) had arranged baby sitter and booked table in advance and got new undies - and now this turns up grrrrr thought about cancelling when it appeared last week but convinced myself it'd be gone by now.

and i havent had sex for ages lol. no kids, happy hubby, perfect - cept for AF!

OP posts:
Bozza · 27/09/2005 13:43

Maybe by tonight it will be nearly done and if you turn out the lights (keep tampon in til last minute then nip to loo) you will get away with it. Thats what I'd do anway.

Tallgirl · 27/09/2005 13:43

Sorry I know this is bound to be a dumb question but ..AF????? please explain

Toothache · 27/09/2005 13:43

HB - Aw thats a shame.. but if you haven't had sex for ages then maybe he won't be that fussy!

Is it really heavy?

HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:43

well it was getting lighter yesterday, and by the evening i thought i had stopped - but this morning its come back!!

even thought about running up and down the stairs to get it to 'come out' quicker lol

Toothache · 27/09/2005 13:44

Tallgirl - AF = Auntie Flo....

Lonelymum · 27/09/2005 13:44

If it is any help, I always find that I only bleed at night for the first 2-3 nights. I have to say I don't do sex during my period, but you might be all right you know. Dh need never know!

RayMacCooney · 27/09/2005 13:45

Squat.

HuggyBear · 27/09/2005 13:45

its not only the actually having sex thing though - its the foreplay bit i like too, and they'll be none of that lol

and my tummy hurts grrrrrr

OP posts:
Tallgirl · 27/09/2005 13:45

Why Auntie Flo??

Must admit - trying to organise 'romantic' night away and realised that one of the dates would clash with period so crossed that one off my list!
