I have now managed to, ahem, stop adding to my current weight, so I'm just going to sit the winter out.

Come the New Year, I'm kicking ass. As I am sure the other LIGHTer ladies will be too.

Maybe. Hopefully. If I can convince them too.

morning all

was up for ages coughing last night. what's good for coughs?

i'm pretty much down to one coat which i wear and it's gorgeous but has 3/4 length sleeves only. plus i'd like it to last more than a year so i really should buy a winter one now and give it a rest.

my challenge is that even inside i get very cold in winter so need to wear lots of layers and it's hard to get a coat you can do that with without it looking like a sack iyswim.

sit on arse and mn and mainline coffee for an hour then plough on with floors and beds etc.

that's my plan really. though it's laundry and junk mountains and hoovering here. plus gotta cook later.

morning blitz

confession - i'm having my coffee with a tiny nip of whiskey to clear my chest.

My plan is to have another cup of tea then tackle laundry mountain.

Medicinal whiskey is fine Satan.

i've got a load of mince out so i'll just do cottage pie. that way i can do all the messy cooking early and have washing up out of the way and just need to heat and serve when sis arrives.

have snacks and stuff for kids when they get in from school.

they make my house feel full when they're here. it's quite nice.

got a nice granary loaf to go with and will just do a green veg and stick the lot on the table. if i can get to the table

i might do a quick of wrapping actually! ds has just gone off to the supermarket with gp's so it's a good chance.

• a spanish guitar (very cute, real but child sized)

-a fire engine that opens up to be a city with micromachine cars. -2 manga kids films -a box of dinosaurs and props

got a ben 10 duvet set and faraway tree book set to wrap and then it's just the stocking filler stuff - puzzle, cards, light up balloons, chocs, flying dinosaur, bouncy balls etc type crap.

i think it's enough. if i get anything else it will be practical - trainers, clothes etc.

I have got a TON of stuff to wrap. I just don't know when I will get the time.

I have a gorgeous long, black, wool coat. Very very grown up. I love winter so that I can wear it.

Nemo is much better today with his cold. I think it's almost gone now.

DH has smashed his head in the wood shed. He has a GIANT egg with a line down the middle on the side of his head.

Washing x2 done, chicken out of the freezer for curry later and a bit of tidying done for when the cleaner comes later.

Warm front are supposed to show too.

No wonder DH berates me for going mad at Christmas.
