my house is looking fairly organised.

can't get on with more laundry as i am having to relight my frigging boiler every half hour or so when it goes out.

guy is supposed to be coming back today. it wasn't as bad before and is getting rapidly worse so thinking it will completely conk out sometime soon. fingers crossed he shows up.

boiler man has just really pissed me off. when he was here thursday he said he couldn't do anything because i hadn't written down a fault number that flashes when it goes wrong (news to me). friday i call back saying i have fault number, to be told they'll come on monday, no time window, just monday.

so we wait in all day and he comes just now and i tell him fault no. and he doesn't know what it means, he has to ring support centre only it's on hold for half an hour and then he hangs up and decides he'll have to go because he can't stand around here all day.

might as well have sent a monkey.

That's crap re your engineer. They are usually sub contracted too so a 'job' gets passed from the maintenance dept to a compnay and lack of communication usually figures.

And yes, a monkey would've done a better job.

and yes, i agree, don't want to watch the baby p thing. we know it's horrific, we know there was scary misconduct and it shouldn't have happened and we know he suffered horrendously and was failed by everyone.

any more is just revelling in the sordid details and won't do anything other than upset and disturb. stuff for ministers, social workers, managers and funding deciders to watch, not we who have no power over it.

i don't need educating on child abuse, i wouldn't do it, i'd report it where it was being done and i speak out against it privately and have done in any professional context ive been in.
