Hello

Welcome to our thread all about cake cheese and chcolate healthy eating. Well, on a good day! Grin

I'm Mouse, I have the weight of a huge Camenburg to lose but have lost lots already thanks to the support of this thread and the lovely LIGHTer ladies!

No rules, no clique, just us!!

Come say hi Smile

OP posts:
desiretochange · 15/10/2010 15:35

Don't really wear make up Mouse unless I am going out somewhere (which isn't very often) and usually someone else applies my make up (or should I say their make up) on me.
Maybe I should think about combining clothes makeover and get make up makeover as well ??

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 15/10/2010 15:38

Why not? Just a sweep of bronzer or blusher if you have pale skin ot even a tinted moisturiser and a dash of mascara can really lift your face.

Lip balm or a slightly tinted gloss always looks nice too.

desiretochange · 15/10/2010 15:45

Any suggestions on tinted moisturier Mouse, am not pale skinned, more your "just been out working in the fields" type of face!!

desiretochange · 15/10/2010 15:46

Meant moisturiser Blush

YouHaveNothingButAHunch · 15/10/2010 15:51

I use the olay one and find it really good. But I'm a pale type. My skin's really greasy though and it's not too heavy.

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 15/10/2010 15:54

I love the Olay tough of foundation one too. Or Boots No7 is good too. You don't needs loads, just a small amount.

I use mine after I moisturise so that it goes on smoothly.

Hey hunch.

desiretochange · 15/10/2010 15:57

Cheers . . might just treat myself this weekend!

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:02

dual protection no.7 is ok - seem to be able to use a little for subtle and more for more iyswim. found the nivea one a little bit drying for my skin so depends on your skin.

also the no.7 magic wand thing - like a liquid concealer for shadowy areas, especially under eyes. just get some on the brush and dot on area then dab around with finger. just lifts the shadows - idiot proof (i'm crap at make up) but effective.

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:04

and i've used the chanel one and it wasn't that much better so i stick to no.7 for my concealer

love, love, love chanel foundation though, don't own any, it's what my beautician friend uses on me when we go out and bizarrely instead of skin being crap the next day for having worn (and passed out in) make up it's glowing and happy Confused good stuff.

desiretochange · 15/10/2010 16:05

Idiot proof is what I need SAF Wink

ThePumpkinofDoomandTotalChaos · 15/10/2010 16:07

afternoon ladies, have been in a very funny stressed out volatile mood today, you know when you feel about to burst into tears for no reason, but sitting here catching up on your chat has helped ground me, thanks very much for that.

brian/mousey - yes I know, my language is terrible, but I have zero tolerance for deadbeat dads due to my own experience of rejection and disinterest.

mousey - glad the appointment with god went well

desire - even more important to see the personal shopper if you DON"T shift the weight - as a good personal shopper can work miracles in suggesting flattering clothes - and I find that feeling good about yourself helps shift the weight.

BrianAndHisBalls · 15/10/2010 16:08

i just won a necklace in a competition get me Grin

anyway, halloween disco tonight so dp is trying to bathe the evil dc. Then he'll be off taking dd1 and picking her up. Think I shall dye my hair.

rock and roll friday Grin

:):) Double
Pumpkin Personal shopper it is so even if I don't shift the weight, no point on working on changing my inside if I don't have a bash at changing the outside!
Yay for Brian winning the necklace, what sort of competition did you win it on?

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:24

sorry you've had a rough day tc - good dinner and early night and loads of water?

i'm really sorry your dad was a shite but i also really appreciate your perspective on stuff being an adult of this stuff iyswim. it's nice to hear you defend your mum and see things clearly. i always get scared somehow it will all end up being my fault and ds will fecked up etc. you reassure me. so does alice actually with her stories of going to the pub with her dad Smile

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:35

honestly, i know it sounds mad hippy shite but anyone inclined to anxiety, jitteriness etc i really do recommend the linseed tea.

can i proudly say that, despite it being against all my instincts (food repulses me till late in the day) i have had breakfast (small bowl of beans) and lunch (vegetable risotto) and am soon off to my parents for dinner (stew).

3 meals in one day! Shock i think i feel better for it. it's going to be on my must do it list to eat breakfast.

BitterAndTwistedGoreDodger · 15/10/2010 16:36

I probably should start eating breakfast and lunch again.

Sorry about your Day TC - I know tomorrow will be better. Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 15/10/2010 16:38

tc - i second what saf said, it keeps me awake at night that somehow this will all end up to be my fault in dd;s eyes one day so I appreciate your input as an adult of the situation greatly. Cunt is good anyway Grin

desire - in a blog competition, i'll find a link...

BitterAndTwistedGoreDodger · 15/10/2010 16:40

What kind of necklace Brian?

BrianAndHisBalls · 15/10/2010 16:41

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 15/10/2010 16:51

Nice Brian! Maybe you can wear it next time you go out for dinner or something? Looks dressy but not too OTT?

TC - sorry you've had a shite day. Second Bitter, tomorrow will be a better day.

WIF - great on the food front, well done.

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:53

right i've got to try and tear ds away from UP! and get us out the door and off to GP's.

i will be back later for a glass of port and a chuckle over what i've missed. BE AMUSING!!!

massive mwah's all round.

WallowsInFlies · 15/10/2010 16:54

and thanks for the well done mouse - and for yours earlier double - not patronising Smile

be good

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 15/10/2010 16:58

WIF - It's friday night and I have a glass of Cobra with my name on it to go with the curry so I will be amusing by default!! Grin

ThePumpkinofDoomandTotalChaos · 15/10/2010 17:01

thanks ladies for the vote of confidence Smile

am too lazy to make my own linseed tea, can you get a suitable substitute at the health food shop, I should do more herbal teas instead of coffee anyway.

Desire - I went to a personal shopper thingy as I won it in a competition - I was 14stone then, so 4 stone overweight - and she was brilliant - found me a really nice skirt and ruched cowl neck top at Coast. Unfortunately I refused to buy the skirt as it was dry clean only.....It's amazingly the different the exact right clothes can make even if you are significantly overweight.

actually - you don't live anywhere near Cheshire Oaks do you - as it was the Cheshire Oaks personal shopper i used - I would highly recommend them, as they can take you round a range of shops, not just tied to one.
