Hi i have a ingrown hair just at the top of where my pubic hair starts. I have antibiotics but am in agony. I have just tried a hot compress and am about to have a salt bath. Is there anything else i can do? It's a mess, even the nurse winced when she saw it. It's like having a ping pong ball down there. Tia

Oh good, once the pus is out it will start to get better. Try applying hot flannels again once it's stopped singing, you may spy it (or your DH might).

Keep at it now and it will clear. Sometime you never find the hair IME

stinging not singing. If it's singing, you should probably see a doctor Grin

...and sometimes it isn;t an ingrown hair at all - sometimes it's just a big ol' spot

A beautician once told me that once you pop the hair out you shouldn't pluck it out at the root as the scar / skin will grow over he top and make it harder for the new hair to grow out. Nowadays I try and let the scar heal up a bit before I pluck the hair out.

I got some drawing ointment and put it on last night. It has reduced the swelling a lot so will hopefully get sorted soon. I strangely hope that i do find the hair as i want to see if its a monster one.
