Ooh, thunder.

I reckon we are about to pay for the sunshine...

Lizzylou · 14/07/2010 20:26

Awww Vinny, Finn sounds just fab.

Oh Bella, just a fucking fickle candidate who was a shoe in for an interview tomorrow and have already put loads of work in, got her a telephone interview first etc etc , just emailed to say she has found another job and won't be attending. Thing is, if it is the firm I think it is, she will be looking again v shortly and her CV will look v shite.

DH just annoyed me, he's stressed, I'm stressed....his stress is greater than mine...

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:27

And with my random hormones vie had two periods in the oats four weeks, so I'm planning on not having one till september.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:29

Lizzy, I'm lovely, hire me!

Lizzylou · 14/07/2010 20:30

We've just had a massive thunderstorm and lightening, was fab.
Has cleared the air as well, was v humid.

Hey Saf

bellavita · 14/07/2010 20:31

Oh dear Lizzy.... cheer up tis nearly Friday!

Mouse, I have never used a Mooncup - is it like using one of those contraception thingies (cannot remember what they are called now?) You sort of squidge it in half pop it up and then it springs into place a bit like a pop up tent so to speak but the other way round.

OP posts:
bellavita · 14/07/2010 20:33

Crunchy can you confidently handle a caseload of RTA Personal Injury files for a firm in South Manchester? if so, it's a deal.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:34

Looks like the lightning is heading up north then, I'm in north Yorkshire and the rain is pouring now.

bellavita · 14/07/2010 20:35

Have just phoned Shiney. She is either out or hiding from me

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:37

Lizzy, sure, why not ok, maybe It ain't my field, but If it were closer, I'm getting desperate! There's no work round here!

bellavita · 14/07/2010 20:38

Oooooooooh Crunchy you may be near me... can you give me a clue? I actually come under east yorks, but work for north yorks county council.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/07/2010 20:39

Lizzy, is it just legal recruitment you deal with? I'm not angling for a job, just nosey.

bellavita · 14/07/2010 20:39

If you give me your email address I will send you the list of jobs we get from the council

Crunchy - Shropshire, where the Muller cows live!

Bella - apparently, moon cups are fab. May try one and see.

Lizzy - I hate that part of the job. Counter offers are another hate of mine! I once worked a Sunday, didn't get paid for it, to brief a candidate for his third interview, guaranteed offer at the end. He called me 20 minutes before to tell me his girlfriend didn't want him to take the job.

MrMouse had to hide my car keys. I was gunning for the bitch!! Worked on that assignment for three months!

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:44

Bella I'm near Scarborough. Might be a bit too far north for you. But anything that comes up let me know.

Email [email protected]

Mouse, try it, you may like it, you may not, but it's a new experience nonetheless!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/07/2010 20:45

Dragons Den is on at 9 - I will watch and get inspiration for out million pound idea, saf.

Do it Mouse!!

Lizzylou · 14/07/2010 20:49

Mouse, I had someone who I got a fab job in one of the very best firms in Manchester, they rang to get his reference and his current firm said they were surprised as a firm in London had rang for a reference. I rang him and he said he was taking a job in London, 2 days before his start date with my client. He said he'd emailed me, he never had. That was last year and I still loathe him. My client were great though and said if he ever wants to move back up to Manchester they'd make sure his name was mud, small community the legal one. If he'd done the decent thing and said he'd changed his mind they'd have been fine. Such cowards these people. Didn't seem so bad when I was an employee....now I'm thinking of all the ££££'s lost.

Bitter, yep just Legal lovely, for my sins.

Just wait till you see the "Recruitment Consultants are tossers" threads...there was a few of them a while back!

Lizzylou · 14/07/2010 20:51

Oh Crunchy, Scarborough is nice, we went up for the day last year to Whitby and Scarborough and all being well, when we get our tent, will be back again. Gorgeous part of the world.

DIB, you sure? Rains as much in Cardiff as it does in Manchester???
We could be neighbours!!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/07/2010 20:53

My BIL was a recruitment consultant before he worked for the church.

That's how he met my sister, she was working as a temp, she got suspicious when she kept getting employee of the month.

And he's lovely so no, I don't think they are tossers.

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 20:53

Thank you ladies! Shall definitely look at the places within the Trafford Centre as that'd be brilliant, we could shop, get nails done then go for a meal in the evening when we're back home! Lovely.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 20:53

Lizzy I think the honesty thing means a lot, even now. The job I went for today I was honest with, it may make me a fool, but at least I know where I stand and so do they.

DIB I haven't said hello have I? Hello
