Robert Jenrick painting out the Disney mural in asylum accommodation for unaccompanied children is mine.

The idea of hosing down homeless people outside McDonalds and taking tents away makes me sick to the stomach. We have rising levels of homelessness . I despair so much of the callousness but then remember we are led by ex Bullingdon Club braying bully boys who burn money in front of homeless people.

Also Jacob Rees Mogg lounging on the benches. So arrogant.

Ugh, I can't stand the man.

I will be casting my vote for this woman. This is a recording of her call in to Radio 4s Any Answers:

Trigger Warning: suicide and child loss.

Not pursuing Michelle Mone

They are pursing Michelle Mone:

Michelle Mone has £75m of assets frozen as NCA investigates fraud.

In addition to the NCA investigation, the company is being sued by the Department for Health for £122m plus costs for "breach of contract and unjust enrichment".

That was harrowing to listen to. The pain in her voice. God bless her, the emotions she must feel knowing there's a chance, any chance, things could've been different if she got to her

Heartbreaking isn’t it. I can’t believe it aired over a year ago, it left a lasting impression on me and this poor mother is my first thought whenever anyone mentions lockdown parties now.

BIossomtoes · 02/07/2024 22:09

I have no words after listening to that. 💔

What should the Government have done about Covid? Ignored it and let everyone carry on as usual? How many more people would have died? What would a Labour Government have done differently?

I don't object to the lockdowns. I object to asking everyone to be locked down while they continued to party like it was 2019.

Isn’t this a symptom of narcissism? The belief that ordinary people must follow the rules but that you are special and don’t need to.

As someone who has experienced a couple of abusive relationships with men I suspect are narcissists, recent political behaviour and messaging (not just from the Tories- Trump and his ilk in America are terrifying viewed through this lens) is deeply unsettling. I'm thinking particularly of the refusal to admit accountability, the classic DARVO techniques and the highly manipulative, defensive messaging. All too reminiscent of conversations with my exes.

Same. I had a severely abusive and manipulative ex and I have found the Boris/Trump approaches to governing deeply painful to watch

In any other time if a party was struggling for votes they wouldn't be desperate enough to call the very man to help boost voting figures who put his socialising with his chums before the lives of millions of uk citizens.

That's desperation for you!

i think they over estimate the share of the electorate who don't think he's a buffoon at best and a lying selfish and dangerous man at worst.

Reform party wouldn't speak to Access All about what policies align for those people with disabilities. She spoke to every other party leader and yet Reform didn't engage.

Anyone here disabled and plan on voting for Reform? Good luck! 🤞

verdantverdure · 03/07/2024 12:07

I see the Tories have wheeled Boris Johnson out

That speaks volumes doesn't it?

I know some Reform candidates have truly horrible views about disabled people.

It may have already been mentioned but I've just remembered Rees-Mogg giving a radio interview in which he blamed the Grenfell victims for not getting out – he said they lacked commonsense for perishing in the blaze after they were told to stay put by the fire service. 😡

He also said he thought foodbanks are a good thing. 🤯

The photo of the little boy being buried alone during covid by strangers in hazmat suits. Unforgivable.

The way they carried on over Covid was psychological abuse. Lucy Easthope described it as such.
