Anyone fancy a discussion thread?

Angela Rayner is described as the ultimate marmite figure - the left wing love her, the right wing hate her.

I'm fairly left, and I can't bear her. She does women no favours, and she does the Labour Party no favours.

L1ttledrummergirl · 07/06/2024 20:25

Mordaunt is disingenuous.
Mordaunt is a liar. £2000 again.
We can't afford a tory government.

Fuck off with blaming covid.

Sunak chose to use taxpayers money to pay the countries fuel bills, rather than charging the fuel countries which might have impacted his mates. This was a choice, not a need.

L1ttledrummergirl · 07/06/2024 20:27

Mordaunt, rude again, shut the fuck up.

Springwatch123 · 07/06/2024 20:27

I’ve just thought what this debate reminds me off, the boardroom in The Apprentice. They’re all trying to justify their position.

Piggywaspushed · 07/06/2024 20:27

I do hope the people busily pulling apart Rayner's social class and mannerisms - or even Penny's hair- are listening to what everyone is saying.

CassieMaddox · 07/06/2024 20:27

Boris used to go on about Angela being more dynamic too. I could never work out why

Proudofitbabe · 07/06/2024 20:28

@Charlie2121 I agree Rayner isn't impressive. Posters implying you're just being sneering / judgemental is a laugh considering the bitching about Mordaunt's hairdo started before she'd even said a word!

coffeandteav · 07/06/2024 20:28

Penny is appalling.

cakeorwine · 07/06/2024 20:28

So they are doubling down on the £2000

All they are going to be told is that it's a lie

Neveranynamesleft · 07/06/2024 20:28

We can't hear thanks to Penny Pointer shouting over people !

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 07/06/2024 20:28

Green lady is very nervous, but think she’ll be great in a few years

Zebresia25 · 07/06/2024 20:28

@gingercat02 Why do you dislike her?

Charlie2121 · 07/06/2024 20:28

Westfacing · 07/06/2024 20:21

She's an elected MP, not a diversity hire.

She was given an extremely safe seat to contest. It is the equivalent of being hired rather than voted in. The same applies to many MPs.

SpongeBabeSquarePants · 07/06/2024 20:29

I think Penny is furious at having to defend Sunak considering her constituency's military connections and hosting the D-day events. Whoever is coaching het and Sunak is advising them badly. Their top advice team needs sacking

42ndchance · 07/06/2024 20:29

This audience feels...unusual.

Certainly getting a much different reaction at home/the family WhatsApp.

LaPalmaLlama · 07/06/2024 20:29

Tracker1234 · 07/06/2024 20:20

What is a working person. Someone who earns £25k, £50k, £100k. Would any of these people be taxed more and I agree with pp. This audience has been carefully chosen by the BBC…

Yeah I mean arguably a hedgie earning 10m a year is a working person and Angela just said she won’t tax him more 🤣🤣🤣

They’re just making themselves look stupid now.

SpongeBabeSquarePants · 07/06/2024 20:29

*her

Westfacing · 07/06/2024 20:29

Penny's seat is at risk isn't it - imagine that, with a 15,000 majority at the last election! Shows what deep doodoo the Tories are in

Zebresia25 · 07/06/2024 20:30

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 07/06/2024 20:28

They seem to be wheeling her out for every tv debate - she was on Question Time.

I am not sure why Nigel Farage is getting so much airtime

They can overrule their SPADS, you do realise that? They, not their advisors, make the actual decisions.

Penny Pointer!!!! Brilliant
Moody Mordaunt?

Probably a bit late for that.

I think most of the Labour candidates are in safe seats.

I'll be surprised if Mordaunt still has hers on July 5th.

Cornettoninja · 07/06/2024 20:32

It’s depressing, I’m liking some of what I’m hearing from the devolved candidates and smaller parties, but because of the constituency I live in my personal primary aim is to unseat the Tories and keep a lid on Reform.
