General election 2024

Keir, what do you think?

Labour will win this General Election but I don’t think Sir Keir will be party leader a year from now because there are many amongst Labour MP’s who will want to be more radical. Who would you like to see as leader of the Labour Party a year from now and why?

The lack of self awareness in this line is hilarious

Except it isn’t me making demands I’ve no right to.

Not making demands, asking whether you have any solutions. You clearly haven't, meaning that your posts can now be ignored.

Lonelycrab · 08/06/2024 22:23

I think that depends on next week's headlines

I think that relying on whatever spin-headline to influence the outcome is a little bit deluded at this stage: it doesn’t work like that anymore.

Well, I hope that's made you feel better. Wink

Gtfto2024 · 08/06/2024 22:31

How would PMQS work for a start?

Not a problem in the next four weeks though is it.

Is that you conceding?

I was thinking more about the manifesto promises, Vaughan Gething resigning or some other controversy.

You don’t get it, do you? Sunak’s blown it. CCHQ is expecting Reform to overtake the Tories in the polls next week. The game’s up.

Clav, with respect,

manifesto promises really aren’t going to influence anything at this stage.

You’re also free to ignore my posts, but don’t be trying to make out that not seeing Starmer as a solution isn’t permitted unless I can offer something better.

You stay gullible as long as you want, don’t be trying to apply your simplistic thought processes as benchmarks by which to judge anyone else though.

Lonelycrab · 08/06/2024 22:41

So what do you suggest everyone should do then, oh mighty wise guru?

Are you able to answer that?

Yeah, don’t play in the circus. Don’t vote.

Lonelycrab · 08/06/2024 22:44

Don’t vote is the answer 🤡

It's not over, till it's over - a new line of attack here;

A Reform UK candidate who was due to contest Sir Gavin Williamson’s seat has withdrawn from the race and endorsed the Conservatives.

it has since emerged that, despite apparently submitting his nomination papers on Wednesday, he has withdrawn from the contest, saying he was concerned that his candidacy risked handing victory to Labour.

Look, I’ve told you more than once. Have you tidied up your bedroom yet? it’s time you were asleep!

1 seat.
Dirty? deal done by Williamson and that's the solution?

Furious Reform UK chairman Richard Tice has accused the Tories of 'dirty tricks'.
He said: "Wellings put his papers in on Wednesday and then in the last hour, without telling us, withdrew them. I am challenging Gavin Williamson to say whether money, jobs or a safe seat was offered to Wellings to do this. One of our candidates in the same region was offered a safe council seat and two jobs to stand down. He sensibly rejected the offers and told us what was going on."

Actually, I was thinking more of an attack line persuading voters that voting Reform was handing victory to Labour.

Gtfto2024 · 08/06/2024 22:58

Hilarious. It's not fair, he lied to us and backed the party who's leader lied to the nation, and other parties members have repeated the lie. It's not fair, we didn't know he was lying and had no clues about his personality. Waaah.

Lonelycrab · 08/06/2024 23:02

But surely, with the resurgence of NF with reform, the victory has already been pretty much handed to Labour?

The Tory votes are going to haemorrhage.

Claire Coutinho said that several weeks ago. You weren’t paying attention.

I wasn't suggesting the idea was mine - perhaps my wording could have been better.

So more bribery and corruption from the Tories?
