Sunak: Stupid or a bare faced liar?

In last night's debate, he repeatedly made a big deal out of a "completely independent report" about Labour costing £2000 per household. It was his answer to nearly everything.Hmm

But it was known to be a lie. So why did he tell it? Did he think people wouldn't find out? Has he not learnt that the country is sick to the back teeth of lying Tory PMs?

Who thought this was a good idea?Shock

Oh you do make us laugh. Your posts are entertaining now that we know not to take them seriously.

Reminds me of Joe Lycett and all his "I'm very right wing" jokes.

I think pp is a spoof.

Bet he still wins his seat though.

Me too. That's why they remind me of Joe Lycett when he was on some politics show.

I bet he does. Won’t they be pissed off when he immediately resigns it?

bombastix · 07/06/2024 15:14

After the last few days I don’t actually understand why he wants to be PM unless it’s just to enrich himself. He has no political nous. Just a very rich guy who always has a veneer of “don’t you know I am very rich? Don’t ask questions”

To a large extent his wealth is his wife's and is a result of her father's business.

I wouldn't be surprised to find there is a huge chunk of inferiority or a sense of having to be 'as powerful' or keeping up with the in laws that's driven him. It doesn't seem to be a need to provide public service, for sure.

Good point.
