ENOUGH of the total BS - Rishy Sunak has lost the plot - I am/was a Tory

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 25/05/2024 23:04

I was an ardent Tory supporter that is until the last couple of days.
FYI - I'm no false flag agent as I despise the Labour

The day the little guy came out of number 10 to announce a GE
and an end to the Rawanda plan, smoking ban etc. I thought you
lying a little so and so. This man mand two special appearances outside number ten re 'Breaking News' at 6pm to state he would get planes flying to Rwanda nd no one was going to stop him - the dates kept on moving

I hate Labour as they shaft hard those in the middle of our society, ie woking class people with their own property, savings, private pensions and or BTL.

Tomorrow's papers are now saying the little guy is proposing 'National Service' for all 18 year olds

This mother of BS stories has resulted in me never wanting to vote Tories again

Rishi Sunak vows to reintroduce UK national service in first major campaign policy

Mandatory work for 18-year-olds would provide “opportunities” and “experience”, prime minister says

I agree with your opinion of the 'National Service' announcement.

I am pretty amazed you have thought the Government was okay until 2 days ago.

BringMeSunshineAllDayLong · 25/05/2024 23:10

I mean you weren't great thinking Rwanda was in anyway a humane or effective scheme but he is a weasel.

And that national service scheme....he can fuck off I have 3 kids who would get caught up on this bullshit. Aged 18 they will be working to save up to go to uni, they are all pacifists so the forces option is not for them. Utter bollocks.

VJBR · 25/05/2024 23:16

The National service is an option. You can do volunteering one weekend a month for a year otherwise.

Many thanks, you are correct

However, I'm now seriously fed up with this pile of mess and enough is enough

I am embarrassed to admit that I was fooled by the little guy the day he stood outside number 10 when he became PM The tripe that came out of his mount, sadly I fell for it for a couple of hours. This is possibly due to the woman that was in number 10 before him for a couple and how she manged to shared seriously hard our nation in a couple of weeks that I fell for the little guys BS

Who do I vote for now??

The Liberals as a waste of vote - I vivsly recall their flagship promise re "student fees" and how they sold their soul

The Green party - a bunch of well of, self-important clowns

I hope we get a decent independent that will cut crime, improve local health services, education and keep our roads nice and clean and support those that work hard and are supporting the state/benefits systems

This time around, I could kick the butts of both Labour and Tory lot - enough is enough there is only so much BS one can take

Ah I was going to engage but you lost me at Rwanda - and that Labour shaft working people. Absolute BS. I think Reform would be your political home 🙄

RemarkablyBrightCreature · 25/05/2024 23:30

Your last post completely confuses local and national responsibilities.

All the feckless can be the first to be conscripted. All the disaffected that think guns are great

No

All I really care about is where I live and everything within the M25. Yes, I am just being open and honest like many politicians.

I was going to suggest Reform too. I don't think they can afford interns though.

You again. Do you actually have a vote in this country? You come across more like a redneck American every time you post.

NO - not likat a "true Tory" but a very reasonable and honest person.

OP posts:
Cattery · 26/05/2024 12:25

Should the words ‘reasonable’ and ‘honest’ be in the same sentence as ‘Tory’?

No British person says 'kick butts'

"I hope we get a decent independent that will cut crime, improve local health services, education and keep our roads nice and clean and support those that work hard and are supporting the state/benefits systems"

Do you truly believe ANY individual MP (let alone an independent?) has a direct impact on such things? Don't be daft. They might have an impact on litter if they get a bag and some grabbers and start picking!

Is this proposal actually in the tory manifesto?

DameKatyDenisesClagnuts · 26/05/2024 13:03

'The little guy'

I'm fairly sure you were kicking off the other week when a poster used similar language

DameKatyDenisesClagnuts · 26/05/2024 13:07

In fact @DistinguishedSocialCommentator you started a whole thread about it

What about kids who are working all hours including at weekends to save for uni? How are they going to fit in voluntary work if they don't want, or can't, do National Service in one of the forces? Obviously, this won't affect people like Rishi's kids, who have wealthy parents to pay all their uni fees and a volunteering once a month will just be a bit of fun for them. My ds worked all hours, including weekends, in Wetherspoons to enable him to go to Uni. Are employers of people in this age group going to give them paid time off to do this volunteering? and if they have to take 6 months off to do national service will their jobs be held open for them?

WoshPank · 26/05/2024 13:51

They've now modified it to say just for NEETs. And there'll be no criminal sanctions either, so not sure how that fits with yesterday's claim that it'd be compulsory.

But yes, Rishi does appear to have lost the plot.
