ENOUGH of the total BS - Rishy Sunak has lost the plot - I am/was a Tory

I was an ardent Tory supporter that is until the last couple of days.
FYI - I'm no false flag agent as I despise the Labour

The day the little guy came out of number 10 to announce a GE
and an end to the Rawanda plan, smoking ban etc. I thought you
lying a little so and so. This man mand two special appearances outside number ten re 'Breaking News' at 6pm to state he would get planes flying to Rwanda nd no one was going to stop him - the dates kept on moving

I hate Labour as they shaft hard those in the middle of our society, ie woking class people with their own property, savings, private pensions and or BTL.

Tomorrow's papers are now saying the little guy is proposing 'National Service' for all 18 year olds

This mother of BS stories has resulted in me never wanting to vote Tories again

Rishi Sunak vows to reintroduce UK national service in first major campaign policy

Mandatory work for 18-year-olds would provide “opportunities” and “experience”, prime minister says

Spoken like a true tory @DistinguishedSocialCommentator

Is this proposal actually in the tory manifesto?

The full manifestos won't be out for a while yet. So Sunak can make it up as he goes along.

I feel sorry for people who still think of a politician as decent human beings. The worst ones are the wolf types in a sheep skin. The U.K. is truly doomed with these politicians. It could be worse it could be Corbyn or Galloway for the top job but my god definitely scary times ahead.

Being honest about having objectionable views just makes you honest, it doesn't make you reasonable.

Yes, Corbyn and Gallaway all ex Labour. I fear Labour sliding through the back door with a coalition partner and the Labour leader would struggle to stay leader as the Labour leader is weak due to the fact the left wing is circling above his head

You can rest easy. There’s not going to be a coalition. Find something more likely to fear.

bombastix · 27/05/2024 11:07

Honestly it’s clear as day that Nigel Farage is going to stand in after the election and mop up what is left of the Conservatives. You don’t need to worry about George Galloway; Conservatives need to realize they are over. Their party of nice flower arrangers and the shires is over. You swapped it for a load of populist rubbish in 2019 and now there are better populists out there. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. I note Boris Johnson is well out of this mess!

Socialists Labour to hit very hard those on average and above average wages, private pension and or a BTL to support them in retirement so they don't have to depend on state hand-outs??

Or - women's rights flushed down the toilet??

They've now modified it to say just for NEETs. And there'll be no criminal sanctions either, so not sure how that fits with yesterday's claim that it'd be compulsory.

But yes, Rishi does appear to have lost the plot.

Just for NEETs - so not his kids? And no criminal sanctions would mean most would not do it. It would be a voluntary scheme.

Where have you read that?

In the Telegraph it was saying it was for everyone-no exceptions. Even the Royals.

howshouldibehave · 27/05/2024 17:42

It isn’t just for NEETs.
