Are there any alternatives to wireless baby monitors? Or something on a different frequency to wireless internet?

I'e tried a thread in products, no luck. I've also phoned a couple of baby monitor companies who both said monitors and in particular video monitors all run off the same frequency as wireless internet. Which I have got. Can anyone help with a solution or am I destined to continue sleeping on a mattress on DD's bedroom floor forever?

Ours is currently sellotaped to the cot (our baby is only 7months old though) it's really lightweight, you might even get away with sticking it to the wall with a few strips of masking tape (we rent too, know where you're coming from!)

Its a pain isn't it? DD would probably eat it(she's 18months)but I could either selotape it to the wall or possibly her chest of drawers or something. Got to be a way around it anyway, and not having constant crackling and a flickering picture is definately worth the extra trouble.

The homeplug devices are supposed to be quite straightforward. You buy a pack like this, plug one into the modem and the other one where you want to connect your computer and you have a network.

I've not used them myself, so I can't say if it's as easy as all that, but the reviews seem quite positive. Downside is more wires than a wireless solution (of course) and you have to be near a power point.
