Laptop burning my leg!

Is this normal or just my laptop getting too hot? I let it run down before putting it back on charge then unplug it when it's fully charged, but when it's charging it burns my leg through my clothes. I'm now using it resting on a cushion

same here ,dp has said it is normal with use.

Malaleche · 03/06/2007 22:12

erm, think you're supposed to have them on a surface not on your leg, try putting it on a tray on your lap.

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 22:13

I have a very red left thigh! Perhaps the vodka numbed my leg before I realised how hot it was, but glad to hear it's normal and not faulty. Thank you.

I have to have mine on my lap, as if its on a surface it overheats and shuts down. Its a pain.

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 22:15

Ah, so perhaps oven gloves down my trousers!

Or a tray - I'm going to try that.

They're not called laptops anymore, are they? Since they started getting so fiercely hot I think.

My notebook is on one of those trays with the beanbag on the bottom.

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 22:18

I'm so yesterday with my laptop

As it happens when I had to get a new ac adaptor for it I referred to it as a laptop and the company I bought it from corrected me and told me I have a notebook.

Beauregard · 03/06/2007 22:40

maybe my womb will catch fire?

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 22:41

Has your womb moved? lol

OP posts:
Beauregard · 03/06/2007 22:41

yes is down by my knees.

weebleswobble · 03/06/2007 22:44

Squeeze and hold 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 7, 8, 9, 10 and breath again (grin). That should help.

I'm thinking if my left knee catches fire I might get that op to fix it quicker than I could have hoped!

OP posts:
Beauregard · 03/06/2007 22:46

can't hold it for 10,i don't have any womb stamina.
