Oh god oh god i need to sort out my mobile phone upgrade but i don't have the strength. can someone just tell me which shiny new phone to get, please?

i've had a handspring treo 650 for the last couple of years and it's a bit gubbed now. i love it, but it looks like i've picked the Betamax video equivalent and it's been supplanted by the inferior Blackberry. gggrrrrrrrrr.

anyway, i am a bit geeky but tbh it looks like most phones do email, interweb etc nowadays so what else should i look for? i could go a decent camera as the treo one is crapola.

also, i'm probably paying far too much now as my tariff was arranged ages ago. honestly pre-dd i was the sort of person who was On Top Of Things, now i can't sort my arse from my elbow... any ideas?

The other one I was considering was the Sony W880i - also slimline with great mp3, but when I saw it up close I didn't like the buttons on it. You can't really tell from the pictures on the web, you have to go into the shops and have a look!

I absolutely love my new samsung, but I am such a tehchophobe I cant work out which model it is. Come to think about it, texting is rather cumbersome, and the address book too. So maybe I dont recommend it after all, sorry not much help am I?

My hubby has just got a Nokia 6300 and it is lovely. Nokia reliability, easy to use and even the kids like it!!! Got to say something for it.....

Also about six months ago I got the Nokia 6234 - another lovely phone. I had a flip phone for a while but got fed up with that. Steer clear of the Nokia 8800 though - hubby again had that and the battery kept on going flat - apparently it is a problem with them.

Having had my last phone for 4 yrs, also no cocerage in my new house for network provider, bit the bullet and went to a 'well known mobile phone provider'.

After long discussion with shop re son with SN and his obsession with phones (therefore needing a robust one) chose a LG Shine - looked fab. For SIX WHOLE WEEKS it worked, screen then went half black. Returned to shop, they say screen cracked and no insurance = no new phone!

Would not recommend this!

Cannot justify the upgrade price though, nor do I need to up my monthly usage so I can't get it free. I'll just have to wait until it is free on cheap contracts as this is the only phone that's appealed to me in years!

I've just upgraded to a Nokia 6300 and it's fab. Had a Samsung D500 before and that was fab too! That reminds me, have also got a Sony Ericsson Z600 that needs to go on ebay as well as the D500.

why does everyone want the n95 so much? what does it actually do that's different?

I have this one sony ericsson. and really like it. It takes good photos (3.2 megapixel), even has a flash for indoor photos.
