7 - 128gb ordered :)

lot of inaccurate assumptions above ref. earphones

  • the new phone does come with earphones - they plug into the lightning port
  • it also comes with an adaptor, so you can continue to use previous earphones / av cables
  • it will connect by bluetooth to any bluetooth headphones where both run the same level of bluetooth
  • it will connect to wireless headphones
  • undoubtedly there will soon be an adaptor so that if you wish to plug in headphones and charging at the same time you can (do many people do this? it seems as though you are then physically tied to the poer socket!) much as has happened with their new power / etc. port on their laptops...
  • it is nonsense to say there is no headphone socket - there is :) it is the lightning port - just no additional / separate socket...

in reality it is old news already - the new phone will have three ways of connecting headphones (lightning socket / bluetooth / wireless), just not 4 - hardly a world crisis :)

Just a heads up the Jet black I believe it is ( the shiny one ) Apple has warned it could scratch easily

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 11/09/2016 17:35

I saw something recommending a case for the jet black but Tbf I don't know anyone with any iPhone that doesn't have a case.

CrotchetQuaverMinim · 11/09/2016 17:49

I haven't, so far! But suppose I'd have to get one with the new one as it's so expensive. Shame, as it destroys the point of all the nice new colours, and the smooth sleekness of it all! Screen protector, yes. I wonder if that's enough? Or some kind of corner bumpers? I guess they'll be busy making new cases now that accommodate the new phone lenses. I liked it without a case as you could also attach other lenses.

MiracletoCome · 11/09/2016 18:02

i don't know why there is no 64gb one in the 7, I have 64gb 6s and it seems about right, I still have 38.5 gb free and have used 16.9 gb, I think the missing bit is the OS Shock.

MiracletoCome · 11/09/2016 18:06

I hate having to cover the rose gold with a case but it just feels too sleek and shiny without, like it will slip from my hand and break I have a bumper type case from Jigsaw sale in matt so it is quite grippy.

winewinewhine · 11/09/2016 18:08

Nope. Am too pissed off about the headphone jack. Plus can't see any new features that I can get excited about. First time I've not upgraded as soon as possible!

AvengeTheDoc · 11/09/2016 18:21

My 5s I used to use a case, still do sometimes, but after 1-2 little Knicks it becomes somewhat redundant. For current phones I've seen colourful supposedly fully waterproof cases. But I find cases make things seem bulky. Like my iPad I've got a full body case for it but I like taking it out as it feels so much sleeker and better after being in it

Gizlotsmum · 11/09/2016 18:52

I have a clear case protects the phone and shows the colour

Grumpyoldmomma · 18/11/2016 21:55

Well I've gone ahead and done it. Upgraded to the iPhone 7 today. I love it so far, fantastic camera, pictures are great quality. I have a case and screen protector ordered from eBay. Smile

Merriboo · 23/02/2017 09:26

Just wondering how anyone who bought the 7 have found living with it?

goneloopy · 26/02/2017 16:44

I absolutely love mine. I am totally paranoid about dropping it or something though so I have invested in an Otterbox Defender case which is brilliant. Especially as my DC love to play games on it. The camera is really good and the 'live' photos too. I'm definitely glad I took the plunge. Smile
