I love my iPhone (only have 3rd gen) but it's more than enough for me, but getting old, and I find it harder to read the screen and a bit fiddly and annoying too. Was going to ash dh for mini tablet for christmas, don't have that many apps, it's mainly for browsing and would be used as ereader on train etc.

Ds is desperate for fancy phone, sp while I was checking them out for him, I had the idea of getting Galaxy note for me, so then I only have 1 divice to carry round (then he could have my iPhone, which he would be happy with)

or are galaxy notes crap and would I be mad to give up my beloved iPhone? and better 2 divices that work well than 1 that doesn't quite do either job well?

The short answer is the Galaxy Note 2 is an AMAZING phone/tablet (aka Phablet)

I barely use my ipad now and poo poo the size of every other phone. They're all far too small! I was also an ex-Apple iphone fan but have finally seen the light.

Get one and I doubt you will regret it.

I will second that! Galaxy Note 2 is incredible. There's no way you'll miss the iPhone. In fact you'll probably start wondering why you put up with it for so long!

Was all tempted, but got price wrong and it seems to be loads more than i thought, doh. Would i be able to use my sim out of my iphone in it? Seemed like the perfect solution, butbdunno if i could justify the ???? (when i thought it was only ???.

If price is an issue then the original Galaxy Note is still an excellent option and a fair bit cheaper.
