AmazIng new discovery with iPad

Trying to mn under bed covers.
Screen kept switching views, so I googled it. Turns out there a side switch which you can either make for silent typing or to stop the views switching but sadly not for both. So stealth mning still a bit tricky.

Just closed 36 apps that will improve my battery life hopefully!

I don't think they were running as such, just you could get to them from that bar or sweep between them.

Ooh, maybe they were running, I don't know.

63 apps running, that'll be why battery not lasting very long then.

Well I have just closed all mine and it's running A LOT quicker.

Pinch with all fingers plus thumb to switch from an app to the home screen.

Yup, to close them hold you finger over one for a few secs then delete

surely that deletes them forever rather than just closes them?

You only delete them from the dock that appears at the bottom of the page.

Grannyrat, thanks I've just tried the touching the time at the top on my iPod touch and it works. Brilliant.

You can tap anywhere at the top to scroll to top.

Where is the fancy button??

Since I upgraded to ios5 last week I'm struggling to be able to tap on the top bar to whizz up to the top. There doesn't seem enough space and I keep hitting the bookmark icon, or page forward or page back.

If you have the round front button to your left, the slide button is at the bottom, next to the volume.

I spend too much time using m iPad.

Noooooooooooo! How?

When the keypad is on the screen, place two fingers on the middle of the keypad then pull your fingers out towards the sides.

Reverse to put te keypad back.
