Your garden looks very serene@Dottiethekangaroo

Dottiethekangaroo · 27/03/2024 09:22

thank you, I love it . It is only 14feet by 21 feet but I spend h hours looking at it.. from February it changes every day.

Dottiethekangaroo · 27/03/2024 09:30

This is my Rose Banksaei Lutea. It is e evergreen and flowers from April to early June each year. The perfume is very delicate and, as it is thornless, it is easy to prune.

If any one is interested in how the garden evolved, I had a year long thread.
The landscapers are here it is better than Santa,

Lots of the plants were from MNetters suggestion, some of whom are no longer with us.

AnneKipankitoo · 27/03/2024 20:15

Well , they live on through your garden @Dottiethekangaroo

Those crocuses are such a beautiful shade of yellow!

I know this thread is about colour in our own gardens, but a gentleman posted this photos on NextDoor of his lovely green grass....he had just had it put down as sod and came out the next morning to this. He was asking if anyone knew what or who could have rolled up his new sod like a Swiss roll. Turns out several people had the same thing happen and it was raccoons looking for grubs!
They did such a neat job of it...I can just pictures them using their little hands to roll it up😂🦝🦝🦝

This big guy was spying on me whilst I was working on my slope yesterday!

Hope you can open it...if not, its a lizard that is at least 14 inches long whose tail looks like a snake!

Hey! Just worked out how to do videos on MN...it's a miracle because I'm a 'work in the garden' type lady who knows absolutely nothing about tech.
Before anyone scolds me for the artificial grass, please let me explain...I dug it out of a skip in front of my neighbour's house. It was one of those 20 foot long skips and filled to the brim with the grass. I'm a skip diver from way back ( once found a brand new Bible)and can't bear to see good things go to the landfill..especially this grass that would never decompose..so, I got permission to take it and happily started cutting it in pieces because it was so heavy. When I pieced it together at home, it was 12 feet wide by 30 feet long...I'm using it to hold the soil on our slopes..so far, good!

Just tarted up the shed. Notice the Globe in the tree. Guess what'll happen if it falls? 😜

Gorgeous tulip@AnneKipankitoo ...do you have other colours, also?

@twiddlingthumbs69 I adore your tarted up shed.😂😂😂

Sweetpea1532 · 12/04/2024 15:03

@twiddlingthumbs69 how'd you get that globe up in that tree? You must be young! I used to be able to do stuff like that, but then I got elderly 👩‍🦳

AnneKipankitoo · 12/04/2024 16:22

Hello everyone, happy spring! I’ve been a bit delayed in getting into the garden this year but the arrival of spring and all that fresh wonderful green is such a kick to get outside isn’t it!

This is my shady patch (with the ferns - doing verrrrrry well this year with all the rain we’ve had) and a raised bed I put in two years ago to try to cope with an area that is kept very dry by overhanging trees.

Great to see everyone else’s pictures - very envious of that shed!

@Sweetpea1532 😂😂. I didn't, got DH to do it! Since he's always complaining he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders, I thought it appropriate

DougAndTheSlugs · 12/04/2024 18:12

I have a couple photos today. First, my shed roof (not really a shed, no door, but an ex pig sty that I keep the lawnmower in). I love it

And my cat in one of the beds this morning. I didn't have anything to do with the soft focus, except that I was working like stink in the garden and my phone was in my pocket. Works, though
