To continue into Spring 2022.

Unfortunately, I am not sure how many pictures I will be able to supply this year . Some builders are in building an extension for me .
I might have to live off all your lovely photos. Keep them coming!💐

@AnneKipankitoo
Thank you, AK. It's pretty neat to know my father planted these camellias and the magnolia many many years ago and they remind us of him every time they bloom. A garden is such a wonderful memory to leave behind for your loved ones to enjoy...like the movie "The Secret Garden" in a way. Dad died in his 90s and was still working in his garden the previous summer.🥲

AnneKipankitoo · 12/03/2022 07:36

Aw , that is so sweet @Sweetpea1532♥️

@AnneKipankitoo
Thank you again for this cheerful, positive thread. ❤

@MrsBertBibby
I think these might be hellebore. I saw them growing wild on a forest hike yesterday..not nearly as pretty, but reminded me of yours
@applecatchers36 ... thank you for sharing the crocus and hyacinths...they are so cheerful looking
@Swanhilde such a sweet patch of colour..I can see how it brings you cheer at this time of year.

@MrsHamlet...such vibrant colours...how are they doing today?
Thank you all for sharing....I know it's not always convenient to run out to snap photos in your garden...I've found myself running out in my dressing gown some mornings to get 'that perfect shot' Blush ( Don't worry, my neighbours already think I'm a bit of a nut..nothing surprises them anymore.)

No dressing gown wearing outside this morning...it's -6°C outside! Oh, poor flowers! It was 27° last Sunday...

It's been mild in South East UK today and managed to get into garden. Planted out my Dahlias for summer. Got some Lavender and White Pansy's at Aldi and planted them up in pots. Was so nice to get out in the garden again 😊

A few happy pictures to share here from the NE of England. Lovely to see new buds and shoots after the awful weather and storms we've had. I love my Hellebores and the Pussy willow I've pictured was actually a sweet pea wigwam made from cut lengths of willow my parents garden a few years ago. It's now a huge tree.

Lovely pics!

Our camellia has finally started to flower but I forgot to get a pic. My gardening hopes were dashed by a raging headache landing me in bed, but I potted up some plugs I got from the GC on Friday : osteos, bacopa, bidens and calibrachoa, so not a total bust.

Sweetpea1532 · 12/03/2022 20:06

I'm sorry for the spelling mistake..should be snowing..not with 2 n's...I was just so shocked.

Sweetpea1532 · 12/03/2022 20:08

Southeast US @Teastheword
It's very very unusual for there to be snow at this time without freezing rain.

Sweetpea1532 · 12/03/2022 20:18

@applecatchers36
Thank you! I'm hoping they will be OK since there was no rain involved so the flowers aren't covered in ice..and the snow was the kind that doesn't stick....almost looked like fake film snowConfused

@AnneKipankitoo yes it's a very big variation...we had to dig out the winter clothing again...DD couldn't find a warm coat so she wrapped herself up in a faux fur settee blanket to take her doggie out this morning Grin

@MrsBertBibby I'm sorry to hear you've a headache..no fun at all! But good that you got so much planted on Friday.Flowers

@applecatchers36 ...you've been busy too! Looking forward to your dahlias and pansies...

Ya'll deserve some nice weather after the winter you've had in the UK this year!Shock

Ooh, lots more advanced than mine! I am very fond of mine, it's "valentine" which is much more red than the classic, and I nabbed it in an impromptu GC visit just before lockdown (and spent the next few months kicking myself for not grabbing a bunch more plants!)

This was it last spring. It's just showing frilly purple leaf tips at ground level so far.

I have about 20 in different parts of the garden. Some are only just peeking but this one is going great guns.

FloBot7 · 13/03/2022 20:07

My irises are coming out. I'd never seen one in real life until this year. I've already seen some bees using it so I'm pleased
