To continue into Spring 2022.

Unfortunately, I am not sure how many pictures I will be able to supply this year . Some builders are in building an extension for me .
I might have to live off all your lovely photos. Keep them coming!💐

I do not know why that image is the wrong way round. It has a gorgeous scent too.

Those tulips are perfection!

Chasingsquirrels · 12/05/2022 15:59

Beautiful tulips, mine have all pretty much finished now.
And a lovely azalea.

Spring 2021 - acquired a greenhouse to house my hens towards the end of flockdown. New side fence about to be erected. Trellis to the other side (out of picture) and the whole area was a hen run, had to walk through it to get to the side & back of the house.
Autumn 2021 - new side fence, additional greenhouse to create a larger covered area and trellis relocated to make a smaller hen area. Existing planting strip to the side of the path still in place but other bits all a mess with grass and weeds

May 2022 - front and side areas weeded and planted, although more to add. Patio planned for the lower bit surrounded by replying path but currently rough ground with various stuff in it.

My Robinia Casque Rouge. It is in a pot, so I was not sure if it would flower

Chasingsquirrels · 12/05/2022 18:07

And this was January 2021, what a difference 🙂

@AncientAzalea those are incredible! Are they in the ground? Do you underplant with anything else? Do you trim back the leaves? Sorry - so many questions!

Here is a little corner of my garden at the moment, it always looks best at dusk but I can never capture that light...

They are in pots and a big planter. I've taken them out now as they have mostly finished. I've transferred them into trays with the stems intact to finish off. Then I'll cut the stems when they've gone brown/dry and store them for next year.

ValBiro · 15/05/2022 23:09

Ahh right, the 'proper' way! I was wondering if you had a secret to keeping them going in the ground. I long for the space (and patience) to be able to do it how you do! They really are beautiful though, you must have "the touch"!
