Amazon?

Everleigh2021 · 09/01/2021 10:40

Amazon. Just looked. Low stocks as people stock up for spring though

Everleigh2021 · 09/01/2021 10:41

For a really tiny amount I would just take from my garden, dry it out, sieve it and use that

IfTheSockFits · 09/01/2021 10:43

What do you mean about a tiny amount? A teaspoonful? A kilo?

Wilko sells small bags of compost.

Mysa74 · 09/01/2021 10:46

If I didn't have little garden I'd ask a friend or on a local FB group...
The fairy garden my daughter got a couple of years ago came with a small bag of sand, the grass grew perfectly, when it was knocked over it hoovered up okay and didn't stain the carpet.

WeatherwaxOn · 09/01/2021 10:46

I'd ask on local FB. Someone will be able to let you have a small bucketful, I am sure.

Everleigh2021 · 09/01/2021 11:05

You can’t go to a random era house to collect a bucketful if compost no more than you can go to a relatives/friends!

Everleigh2021 · 09/01/2021 11:06

*randomer

isitjustifyable · 09/01/2021 11:08

It just says "some".
You can see in the pictures it's just a bowl full really. I have artificial grass and not a single plant.

Will look on Amazon! Thanks so much

Your pucture shows grass seed...do not buy that
It alsi shows potying compost
Compost is fine
Sny potying compost is fine
A pot with herbs from supermarket has compost
So you could just buy a herb in a pot and use the compost from that as is such z small amount needed

Embracelife · 09/01/2021 18:27

Look for youtube videos search "how to plant a fairy garden"
Or "how to plant seeds"

Mysa74 · 10/01/2021 10:24

Looking at your photo your seeds are red amaranth... Seems a bit odd for a fairy garden, grass looked very tall and straggly in mine and amaranath grows reallly big after a while. It looks cute when it starts off though, might need to trim it Bonsi style Grin

There are lots of places that sell bags of soil!
B&Q, B&M, QD stores and some supermarkets might still have some: aldi, lidl, asda, tesco etc!

I'd just plant cress seeds, rather than grass seeds.

isitjustifyable · 10/01/2021 14:42

Thank you. The pot that needs filling is actually a lot bigger than I originally thought so I have just ordered a bag from Amazon. Will see what happens.

I did YouTube the fairy unicorn garden and watched someone put it together and that helped a lot!
