Not technically a plant picture but taken from the garden so I hope it counts. Strange weather today, but how beautiful is this? ❤️

Some from my garden last year. I might get the big camera out this weekend and take some, haven't done that for a while.

Am more of a house plant person at the moment though.

cat love your garden, and that is amazing - the symmetry is quite something and the contrast of sky colour above and below the rainbow, wow.

That petunia is a showstopper barbed

AnneKipanki · 11/07/2020 08:10

Beautiful photos @BarbedBloom and @catwithflowers .

Wow, I'm always amazed when people can grow lillies in their gardens Grin

popgoesperfection · 11/07/2020 11:44

@BewareTheBeardedDragon your garden looks so tranquil !! I've treat myself to a miniature rose from Aldi this morning and a dahlia

Ha, it's all a pretence - just out I'd shot is dd doing 'sword practice' with some sticks 😂

That is such a nice healthy looking dahlia and a beautiful colour. Smile

I was tempted by the mini roses but I'm never quite sure what to do with them - are they for indoor or outdoor?

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 11/07/2020 12:08

All the yellows today.... dahlia, rose, globeflower

It's says suitable for both 🤔 so I presume frost tender and will need to be brought in in the winter.
😂😂 it's the same in our garden, all looking nice until ds volleys a football into all the plants 🙈😂

beautyisfoundwithin · 11/07/2020 13:31

Wow what amazing photos @catwithflowers!

Gorgeous @applecatchers36. A couple of mine are so close to blooming, but still holding out and making me wait a bit longer!

Love both of those, pop!

I’ve got a rose too but mine’s white - I didn’t see any yellow. Are you going to keep it outside?

And I didn’t see any red dahlias either, that’s stunning!

There were quite a few yellow ones, white, red and pink ones too. Mm I think I'll leave it out over summer and bring it in towards the end of autumn. Are you keeping yours inside @GiantKitten ?

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 11/07/2020 20:27

Gorgeous @GiantKitten!

Love the globe flower @RaptorInaPorkPieHat

That rose is impressive @weepingwillow22

applecatchers36 · 11/07/2020 20:32

Love the yellow tones Raptor are they all in a bed together or spread out?

Beauty out Lily's are nearly over we are in the South East, so lovely when they come out year after year

I don’t knoooooow! Grin

Going by the temps in the instructions it definitely needs to be indoors for the winter, but I kept my last one indoors - later in the year possibly - & the buds all fell off. Maybe outside for the summer & then see how it goes...?

Another great Aldi purchase was these fuchsias - 4 baby plants in a little plastic thing, in late April I think? One of them was tiny, and the others weren’t much bigger, so I’m very pleased with how these are doing so far! Smile

Wow great buy @GiantKitten they look lush!! After my fuschia started budding, slugs and snails ate them 😤 I'll add them to the list of things I can't grow 🙈 yeah I'm thinking that could work, it says on the label after flowering you can discard of the plant...why would any one just throw it away ?!

They're all dotted about @applecatchers36 I do try to colour co-ordinate but then I get excited and plant stuff anywhere (and I've just realised that the globeflower is in the front garden - which is supposed to be all white flowers, so it'll have to be moved Wink)
Oldraver · 12/07/2020 09:13

First Berries and Cream buddleai, though I've noticed the first flower buds have start to crisp before the rest of the buds gave come out (IYSWIM) so you don't get the full effect of the whole head in flower line my others

Second one is Black Knight which I now realise is the same colour as the Groupon mistakes... so I have three the same 😀

Lovely @Oldraver.

Sharing a photo of the Roses I've got out at the front, although I can't take full credit for them as they were already here when we moved in, I'm very grateful to whoever planted them though! 😁
