Gosh, such a lot to catch up on!
I have been busy rearranging and might have gone a bit mad at the garden centre.
I will post more pics later.
I have also been busy slug fighting. What do you do all with them? I have set up some home made traps laced with sugary yeast and they drown in those but when I go out in the evening I've been chopping them in half with shears . I feel so guilty but it seemed the most humane way to deal with them.
They are utterly resistant to copper tape, copper mesh or eggshells!!!

@NoImNotEntertained yes please - it is so pretty! The internet tells me it is highly fragranced - do you find it so?

@DrWAnker I have found that spraying plants and pots with strong coffee (I bought cheap instant purely for this purpose) keeps the slugs and snails off. You do have to keep doing it though, and remember that the rain will wash it off which is a pain. But I have managed to grow a gourd vine beyond infancy using this defence that previously has just been mown down at every attempt by the buggers.

I have the same problem with slugs and snails @DrWAnker so will be sure to try your technique @BewareTheBeardedDragon !! Might actually be able to grow some lupins 🤞🏻😀

Today I have a hosta which has grown enormous and is just flowering and some sweet Williams.

That hanging basket is really pretty Rookie. I have never managed to get baskets to look nice so have pretty much given up, I do admire other people’s though

One of my best performing roses -it has flowered constantly since May.

My tallest sunflower is starting to open..... currently around 11ft

Cat - it's a David Austin one but unfortunately it was gifted to me when I knew nothing about roses. It's a shrub and I think it's Sceptred Isle.

That's a lovely bargain @AnneKipanki, very pretty. I spent far too much at the garden centre the other day 😁.

Does anyone know what this yellow flower is? I bought a lot of seeds at the start of lockdown to keep the children occupied and we've had fairly decent success.
A few laggards which I suspect may be wildflowers as we live rurally but I haven't spotted this one in the photo and having trouble placing it.

@AnneKipanki Good call. I'm not sure. The flowers look very similar but the leaves are very broad and waxy. It doesn't look exactly like any images I can find.
I kept all the seed packets...I just need to find them!

Thank you Phineas. I got it from the reduced section at Homebase. Had no idea what the flower was but bought it just for the bargain. Bought two actually and they've recovered and are blooming beautifully.

This is such a lovely thread. I get lost and have to scroll a lot and then I get distracted by all the pretty colours. Rookie, your flowers are looking fiiiiine. That rose Mamia is just ridiculously floofy and adorable, like a big fat cat.

Some rose planted here decades ago. Fuchsia and some lobellias. My wee white surprise: an unexpected white corncockle, also know (according to the RHS website) as bastard nigella.
