Is it still in bloom? I'd love a pink one.
I have a pink/purple one

It's called 'Geranium Bloomtime'

Mine have spread like crazy all through the bed. Great for covering the weeds ground Grin

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 12/10/2019 11:09

Do, I'd love to see the pink. I'll plant some next year.

Here is my last bloom on this Hydrangea. It's been pink, blue, purple. It keeps changing Smile

Wow @RIPWalter what a view! My eyes are so drawn to the hill. And the flowers ❤️

@AnneKipanki My phone sometimes..... avoids full shrub pictures too Wink
But I'm going to take proper care of my Roses next year. I'll prune them, spray against black spot, feed them and never neglect them ever again 😭

Gorgeous landscape Walter what neck of the woods are you in?

I'm enjoying the autumnal colours in my garden this year. I'm normally disheartened when it starts looking all straggly. It's an ongoing process to make it more manageable - yet attractive to wildlife - but I seem to be winning this year Wink (so far...haha)

I'm in the south and right now my lawn is like a soggy sponge covered in fallen leaves. I need it to dry out a bit so I can run the mower over and shred them all up before they decay and ruin the grass 😂

AnneKipanki your summer impatiens and planter are wonderful. How many plants did you put in each? How much work do they take? I think thought I pampered mine but I never get such a full display. The deadheading must take an age! Please share your secrets Grin

I've been lazy and kept some of my summer planters up as they're still semi-flowering. The nasturtiums did nothing all summer leaving annoying gaps but have sprung into bloom this month Hmm Just as everything else has died off...

Still, nice to have some orangey blooms Grin

AnneKipanki · 18/10/2019 12:46

Probably about 32 plants in the wall planter . Used a fleece liner this year for the first time and it worked really well . I like to dead head . This planter takes ages.( if you leave it a few days it can take 30 minutes ). However it is worth it .

The big pot had one geranium , 3 verbena , and 6 petunia . It was a late performer but I think it was probably over-watered. I was a bit annoyed with it but when I returned from holiday it was vastly improved , thriving on the neglect .
The impatiens were a bit straggly when I returned but bounced back after a good deadhead.

I love to deadhead . I have to curb the temptation when visiting friends Grin.
I sometimes nip into the garden before leaving for work and again when I return . ( 15 minutes in the morning if I keep on top of it )

AnneKipanki · 18/10/2019 12:52

I will have to remove the impatiens in the wall trough now though as they are past it .
I think the weather has been good too. The recent spell of wind and rain takes its toll @GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 18/10/2019 14:00

Thanks Anne! I like to deadhead to - same thing, early morning and teatime to unwind often with a coffee!

I think I simply don't put enough plants in e.g. one of each kind.
I worry there won't be enough space/water/nutrients to support them. I'm getting better but still not there yet.

I always mix my annuals up but might experiment with putting a whole tray of one type per planter - I've heard this gives good displays.

After all they can always be reported if it gets too crowded.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 18/10/2019 14:00

*repotted!

AnneKipanki · 18/10/2019 14:35

I like one type per planter too . Some plants like to dominate the others .
Most of the pots I have out are a mix but I wish I had just put begonia in alone as it has pushed most of the others out .

AnneKipanki · 19/10/2019 14:05

This is just one begonia!

Oh that's beautiful @AnneKipanki Is that recent/today?
Your flowers go on and on Smile

My annuals have all gone, I pulled them all out earlier today. Watched our boys (Irish rugby) get knocked out of the World Cup by the unstoppable New Zealand @FiveShelties and thought I would do the same to my flowers, while my heart was already sore 😭

Have a good weekend 🌺
