@userxx the orange plant came through from next door! It’s fabulous! Flowers through the summer months year after year. I’ve looked it up a few times but can’t identify it. It’s possibly part of the crocosomia or montbretia family. The neighbour who originally planted it is long gone, so can’t ask for help. Would Iove to know exactly what it is!

ittooshallpass · 25/09/2019 19:09

@FiveShelties the purple clematis is called ‘The President’. It’s wonderful! Loads and loads of flowers all summer long.

FiveShelties · 26/09/2019 01:56

ittooshallpass thank you, I have written that down, it is so pretty.

AlwaysOnABloodyDiet yes, she is a Miniature Lassie Collie, a Shetland Sheepdog. Your nails look lovely - fantastic colour.

(The @username thing is not working for me today)

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 02/10/2019 17:24

Some of my flowers today.
I spent the afternoon with my little son, tidying up the garden before the storm. It's such a beautiful day, certainly is the calm before the storm

I never notice the bugs on the flowers until I'm posting the pictures!

Lovely, as always Always !

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 03/10/2019 11:17

Thank you @AnneKipanki
It's so great to still have so many flowers in bloom 🍂 Smile

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet Why have you got so many flowers in bloom? It musdt be mild where you are. My garden looks so bare, I've been planting evergreen shrubs so hopefully it will look better next year. What are the pink flowers? So colourful.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 03/10/2019 13:41

I'm in the south of Ireland @userxx , so not particularly mild. The one in the centre is an anemone, they bloom from August-October (I think)!
I have lots of those in white & pinks. Definitely plant those Smile

The first one is an African daisy. They had faded, but have mysteriously bloomed again this week.
The last one is a rose, also blooming for a second time

I'll miss them when they're gone and I should plant evergreens too!

Everpinks ! Always !

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/10/2019 11:52

😂 everpinks @AnneKipanki

This is pretty close; my Camellia. It's really beginning to bloom now. It's so strange having a camellia in bloom in October.
It's surrounded by fallen leaves and is so beautiful Smile🌸🍂

How long will it stay in flower for? Its really beautiful.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/10/2019 13:24

The tag said until December, but it also said that it blooms from November, so who knows Confused

Just caught up again with this lovely thread 😁. My garden is hanging on but I've taken the plunge and ripped out most of my summer bedding this week. Have planted up two tubs today, they look pretty feeble at the moment, but hopefully in a month's time will have filled out.

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet Probably bloom until March in your garden :)

cornstarch - very nice. My heather has gone brown and dry!

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/10/2019 17:32

Oooh, I like your optimism! I thought because it bloomed early, it would fade earlier too

Lovely @cornstarch

My trough of impatiens is looking a bit straggly now with the rain and wind ...and a lack of deadheading . I have given them a good deadheading now but I fear they may be on the way out . They have done well this year...usually gone by now.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 11/10/2019 13:13

So lovely to see your post @AnneKipanki
I miss our pictures and conversation! I'm pleased for you that they've lasted so long, it will make winter seem shorter.

I had a quick look around the garden. I have roses in bloom, roses trying hard to bloom, 2 Hydrangea just holding on, anemones, camellia, geranium, heather, primroses

The heather is so pink that I'm convinced it's fake and the garden centre sprayed it with something. Frightfully tacky 😂 But I love it Grin

Phlox, echinaceas and cosmos have just gone.

Weeds everywhere! Bane of my life Angry

Attached is a picture of the geranium Smile

Johnson 's Blue ?

AnneKipanki · 11/10/2019 13:25

My holly has loads of berries..do not know for how long though as it does get flash mobbed by the birds.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 11/10/2019 13:35

It's Geranium 'Rozanne' - I only know because I keep all the tags from the plants I've bought in a drawer in the kitchen, otherwise I'd never remember all their names.

I love holly and berries. I didn't realise there would be berries already, I always associate them with Christmas

OP posts:
AnneKipanki · 11/10/2019 13:37

Oh they are all gone way before Christmas !

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 11/10/2019 15:33

I've been out in the garden again, and realised that you might be right about the Geranium. I have a few of them planted next to each other and I can't tell them apart! Confused

Here is the Camellia and a rose
