Aubretia
Aquilegia
Azaleas
Narcissi
Muscari
Primroses / polyanthus
Violas

A slight sidetrack but lots of people have mentioned magnolias- I have a nightmare corner, fairly shady (afternoon sun), fairly dry, on a slope adjacent to a conifer hedge but overlooked by one of our main windows. I’d love to put a magnolia there as a focal point, is there any possibility it would survive, if I got DH to dig it a really good size hole and add lots of compost...?! Or is it just a waste of what could be a lovely tree?

Redshoeblueshoe · 17/04/2019 23:38

Dig the hole Dr. I know a few narcissists I could bury there Grin

Titsywoo · 17/04/2019 23:44

Lots of tulips! Everything else has buds so they are the only colour right now.

My bunnies munch everything! They finished off my narcissi & had a good go at the fuchsia bush. I want to weed all my pots & buy a load of primulas etc but need to invest in some netting so I don’t lose the lot to hungry rabbits! I also want a couple of rose bushes. My favourite flowers 🌷🌹
