What colour is your shed/cabin/garden building?

Might be a question for a different topic rather than gardening but I'll try here.

We've just built a very nice garden building/store and need to decide what colour to paint it but struggling to settle on a colour. Endless shades to choose from and I'm not a good decision maker at the best of times.

Anyone care to share what colour they have (photos would be fab)

Very nice.

Do you know what colour/paint that is?

I think i'm sold on some sort of shade of green, but pinning one down is difficult

I have that green too - Cuprinol Willow.

dwpanxt · 25/03/2017 09:08

We have dark blue . Looks lovely against the trees yet doesn't make it stand out too much .

ThisNight · 25/03/2017 09:09

Yes, and the trim is white Daisy.

Bitchfromhell · 25/03/2017 09:11

The Cuprinol grey colour, it looks a bit like Elephants Breath.
Could have done with something brighter in the winter though.

shovetheholly · 25/03/2017 11:33

Purple! I think it's cuprinol lavender, but not sure!

GingerKitCat · 25/03/2017 11:49

I've used Wilko own range in the past with good results.

Mine is currently Asda George River Mist

GingerKitCat · 25/03/2017 11:57

I'll try and add a picture in a minute Smile

Just noticed Wilko do testers for £1 or £1.50 for Cuprinol if that helps! Their own brand is currently £10 for 2.5L, I feel inspired to paint something!

Crumbs1 · 25/03/2017 11:58

Our shepherds hut is same green as ThisNights

Cosmicglitterpug · 25/03/2017 12:02

Culprinol seagrass with a forget-me-not trim for the shed. I've a planter in Seagrass too. I think the wilko Willow is similar.

dark brown, obv.

BarchesterFlowers · 25/03/2017 12:13

We used warm stone from here.

We really liked the product after not liking another brand of stain we used on a chicken coop.

The protek products aren't plasticy at all and can be fairly translucent if you want them to be. We used their wood protector first and then their clear exterior finish. It has lasted really well.

Lovely garden Cosmic!

browneyesblue · 25/03/2017 12:20

Black and white playhouse here, similar to this

Plants and grass really stand out against it.

DPotter · 25/03/2017 12:21

yellow!

Cosmicglitterpug · 25/03/2017 13:07

Thanks! That was last summer...

wfrances · 25/03/2017 13:27

mines cuprinol willow too .

Cosmicglitterpug · 25/03/2017 13:28

That black looks really effective

TheDinnerWitch · 25/03/2017 14:07

I use Wilko's 'Willow', which is the same as Cuprinol's 'Willow'.

Grey.

Originally it was a bright, light blue (the sort that was popular about 12-15 years ago)

Elledouble · 25/03/2017 14:38

This is mine! It's Cuprinol Thyme, I think. My fence and log roll are the same.

Thanks for all the ideas and the pictures. It was a toss up between Cuprinol Willow and Wild Thyme and we ended up going with the Wild Thyme. Weather was so glorious today didn't want to waste time dithering. As yet undecided on what colour we'll do the fascia boards (still to go on) and whether we'll pick out the windows in a different shade.

I'm in the process of paintings all my sheds, fencing and woodwork black.

Looks much nicer than you'd think!
