What have you all found most comfortable to snooze in the sun on? Warm summer, magazine and iced lemonade by the side, put feet up, shut eyes....

We have a pair of garden sofas made out of an old French iron bed frame cut in two, that we bought in a street market in the south of France years ago, hauled back to the UK and MIL made cushions for. I realise this makes me sound like a poncetastic twat but they truly are impossibly comfy, being sprung as a bed and everything.

If I had money to burn I'd have one of these

Those massive Mexican stripey hammocks are on amazon for about 70 quid. I have outdoor rattan sofas and loungers too but the hammock is the best by far.

We've got two lafuma chairs -bought them last year and are very comfortable. I love the look of the helicopter chair though, and the one you linked to Rhubarb.

This has got me thinking. We have a balcony outside the main bedroom, about 18 by 6 feet, but have never used it. Just as well, as it was structurally unsound but is now fine. Overlooked from the side by NDN, so need a screen put up on one side. It faces full east, so scalding in the summer mornings, but very cool in the afternoon/evenings.

Now on the look out for two chairs and a table we can leave out all year. The end of summer sales, not to mention the nature strip, beckon.

I have 2 lovely colonial ivory wicker chairs which are very comfortable with their Morris cushions and come indoors in the winter, a circular oak table, and a garden swing seat, and an adirondack rocking chair painted Chartwell green, the last 3 of which stay out doors.

The garden swing seat came on a special offer from b and q and is a great pleasure to sit in.

I might get the helicopter chair or a hammock. Still undecided. Thanks for all suggestions though!
