What have you all found most comfortable to snooze in the sun on? Warm summer, magazine and iced lemonade by the side, put feet up, shut eyes....

I will watch with interest as I spent my lounging in the sun time today on the bottom of the kids slide (perfectly angled in the sun but with the jeopardy of ending up with a child on my head.

I'm looking too...

You MUST get a helicopter chair. I bought one on a complete whim last spring, and we used it all through last glorious summer.

Only problem was we all fought over who got to sit in it. And you cannot get out of it with any elegance or style Grin

Please tell me that takes you to a generic Amazon page and not my own Amazon home page Confused

I just clicked the link to check it was working and there I was, all logged in.

MissBeehiving · 15/04/2014 20:14

It's fine CQ

Outdoor beanbags, get two, one to sit on and one to put your feet on, incredibly comfy, light to move and warmer to sit on when it's a bit cooler.

Phew, thanks MissB - bit of a novice at these linky things Smile

funnyperson · 15/04/2014 21:44

Thank you. I do like the look of the helicopter chair (it didnt link to your home page). It looks pricey. Is it sturdy?
The Lafuma looks a bit whimsical and frail.
Are hammocks easy for those past their twenties and not in the least athletic to get in and out of? Are they comfortable to snooze in with a good book?

We have one of those Laguna chairs permanently out under the carport for late afternoon sun. A bit faded now, but very comfy.

In the front garden we have an oak park-style bench with paddle arms to rest the drink. I realise I've conjured up an image of an addled tramp sleeping it off under a newspaper.

Our test for garden furniture is price and being able to leave it outside all year round; cushions ferried in and out of the house as per provide the comfort. With the exception of the oak bench, all garden furniture seems a bit frail.

CQ · 15/04/2014 21:57

Yes, the helicopter chair is really sturdy - solid tubular metal frame and it all comes apart for winter storage. Judging by the price ranges there may be some cheap impostors though.

HanSolo · 15/04/2014 22:28

A hammock.
Very nice and comfy.

Snurk at funnyperson.

Just looking out of the window, I failed to bring in the cushions last night, and we had a real autumnal misty night. A bit damp, then. They'll have to stay out and I hope it'll get sunny later. The cat doesn't seem to mind though, all cushions are good.

funnyperson · 16/04/2014 11:15

Love your cat. And your blue paint. Smile

Hard wood steamers from Argos.Comfortable cushion, can be reclined up or down and fold up for storage. We now have 4 that we store inside a shed in winter. They will weather if left outside all summer though. Its the only furniture I have ever bought from Argos.

Artandco · 16/04/2014 12:52

A round sun bed

Mothergothel1111 · 16/04/2014 12:54

A hammock, also find the trampoline comfy and very warm.

LeapingOverTheWall · 16/04/2014 12:57

I have Argos hardwood steamers arriving today [excited]

Marrow · 16/04/2014 12:57

Lafumas are great, not at all flimsy and incredibly comfortable. I brought mine into the living room when heavily pregnant as it is so comfy and very easy to get in and out of!

Taffeta · 16/04/2014 23:14

Hammocks, I am ancient and manage to haul self in and out. We have a massive Mexican one that fits 2 or 3 people. It's fantastic.

makemineapinot · 16/04/2014 23:17
