Summoned 😊

EwwSprouts · 08/08/2021 20:48

Heifer Sorry to hear your DD is positive. If she's already a bit better hopefully she won't be spreading a huge amount. You can face those accounts down!

Orange thanks for new thread.

Piggywaspushed · 08/08/2021 21:31

Hi guys. Have had an awful day and got admitted to hospital. Back home now. Hopefully won't get a relapse. The paramedics were quite clear I was only on day 5... horrible virus. 😞

stoneysongs · 08/08/2021 21:34

Oh no Piggy, you poor thing. I hope that's the worst of it over and you feel a bit better every day now.

Piggywaspushed · 08/08/2021 21:44

I hope so too...

Piggy I feel so sorry for you after teaching all year too. If we weren’t all anonymous, I am sure lots of us would be sending you real Flowers or Cake. Please take care and just rest. Make sure the boys take care of you.

Shimy · 08/08/2021 22:30

Glad to hear you're back home Piggy. Take it easy if you can to get your energy levels back up and hope the worst is over.

EwwSprouts · 08/08/2021 22:33

Piggy Wishing you comfort and healing in your own bed.

Monkey2001 · 09/08/2021 00:28

Wishing you all the best Piggy, it is so unlucky to be hit with a severe bout of Covid when you really need the holiday to recover from an awful year. Hope it is over soon. Flowers

Piggywaspushed · 09/08/2021 06:25

Everyone on here is so kind it makes up for any lack of real flowers and cake!

Bit better after a bit of sleep. Thanks , lovely people.

Oblomov21 · 11/08/2021 07:03

So sorry to hear this Piggy. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Does that mean you are only half way through this ordeal?

Piggywaspushed · 11/08/2021 07:06

Hi oblomov. Thanks for kind words. Just woken up to Day 8! Did get a better night's sleep but have been awful. It feels unjust although much of MN holds the line that we should 'expect' to get it and get ill if double jabbed. Apparently, no one ever said otherwise. Hmm.

Monkey2001 · 11/08/2021 11:08

How are the test of your family doing Piggy? Sorry to hear it has hit you so hard, but I guess this means it is a very good thing you didn't catch it before being jabbed! Didn't you say DH was vulnerable?

Piggywaspushed · 11/08/2021 11:18

Yes, DH is and is getting very anxious as we near end of isolation period about when he can start feeling safe. So far, he is the only one who has stayed clear. Got to the point where we don't want him to PCR, in case it turns up an 8-10 day old extremely mild case and we have to SI him. If we had PCRd him when I was done he most likely would have been negative so it's all a gamble. The only symptoms he is exhibiting at present seem mostly anxiety related.

It's partly psychological but I am not sure when I will feel 'safe' going near people again (eg grandparents) and when he will feel safe approaching DSs. That said he keeps coming and standing in my doorway to moan at me...

DS1 (first to succumb) seems fine now, although claims he always was. He sneezes a lot so it's hard to tell. DS2 still has an awful cough , worst of all of us.

Piggywaspushed · 11/08/2021 11:19

Just to be clear in cases anyone thinks he has ignored current and prior SI, he hasn't!

icanbewhatiwant · 11/08/2021 11:26

@Piggywaspushed yes dh 's dd's husband tested positive on Saturday. Their 5 year old Ds is now showing symptoms. However she has not got symptoms but decided to do a pcr test today. I think I might not bother if it were me. Just stay away from people a bit longer than the initial 10 day isolation. If she tests positive I'm assuming she has to stay in another 10 days on top of the 4 days. Though she may be testing too early. She's hoping she won't get it...They aren't vaccinated though.

Monkey2001 · 11/08/2021 11:26

Has DH done some LFTs? I think it takes longer to show up, but they are supposed to be worth doing.

icanbewhatiwant · 11/08/2021 11:27

@Piggywaspushed forgot to add...glad you are on the mend.

Piggywaspushed · 11/08/2021 11:28

DH has never done a LFT. He is v odd about medical stuff. Anyway, the four I manically did before my positive PCR (including one on the same day!) were all negative....

Zandathepanda · 11/08/2021 11:31

Piggy I have no idea if this is correct advice now but a clinically vulnerable medical professional I know got lots of advice at the time and stayed clear of her Dd for 3 weeks after Dd tested positive.

At least it would mean you’ve still got over a week of man moaning at a relatively long range instead.

icanbewhatiwant · 11/08/2021 11:31

I did read the LFT only pick up 50% of asymptomatic cases. But usually more of people with symptoms.
