I haven't done babies for 5 years. She's 8 months old.
So, travel cot and age appropriate pushchair have been turfed from loft and dusted down.hank goodness I kept them. The SW or police are bringing her round some time this evening.

I have no idea how big she is, what she eats/drinks, what her routine is (if any).

DH has been dispatched to Asda to buy:
Nappies
Babygros
Vests
Milk
A couple of food jars - would normally cook fresh but this may be what she's used to.
Bottles
Dummy
Hat and mittens - need to go out for school run tomorrow

I've found some soft sheets in the airing cupboard and the other dc have donated a fleece for a blanket. Also a few cuddly toys.
So anything else and what are the rules for LOs these days re feeding ect.

wrt no the nappy sores, you can also give her a bath with chamomile and/or fennel tea.
try not to use wipes, they sting horribly.
hope she has a rosy bum soon.

One of my LO's is very prone to nappy rash even though his nappies are changed very often. I try and leave him out of them as much as I can, use cotton wool and water instead of wipes when its bad, and I swear by Metanium. It's a bit messy because it continues to ooze out of the tube once you've squeezed it but it works really quickly and is very cheap!

Also, I find Pampers give him nappy rash more easily.

Stumbled across this thread in 'Active Convos' and couldn't read and run without saying what an incredible thing you are doing. Your post about hearing her laugh and knowing that she was warm and fed made me well up, you should be so proud of yourself, what an amazing difference you are making to this childs life.

Thanks
