My usual answer is to open a packet of crisps, now obviously it's not a healthy option and tbh it's not very filling. What would you cook/prepare thats quick, yummy and filling?

Bernard Mathews Turkey Drummers. But I don't think that its your criteria?

I like grilled chicken with salad and coleslaw in tortilla wraps.

But I ahd about 3hours sleep last night and I'm knackered, so Turkey Drummers it is tonight.

avocado with ham, chopped toms and some vinagarette. yum, keeps me ticking over or bowl of porridge with toasted almonds mixed in.

Megglevache · 24/03/2010 21:02

coleslaw- yum!

foxinsocks · 24/03/2010 21:02

yes crisps

failing that jelly snakes

often a whole packet of grapes (grapes surprisingly filling)

actually, I'll tell you what, bananas - that will fill you up

SixtyFootDoll · 24/03/2010 21:02

Shaz10 · 24/03/2010 21:03

CaptainPicardsPineapple · 24/03/2010 21:05

Try this, the most dangerous cake recipe ever and tell me if it's any good.

thatsnotmymonkey · 24/03/2010 21:06

quesidilla
pita bread with feta, hummous and some salad
french toast
poached egg on toast

heymango · 24/03/2010 21:06

Nutella - mmmmmm

SugarTits · 24/03/2010 21:08

Did the avocado thing for lunch and eggs for breakfast, so don't fancy them.

Would it be wrong to bung in some oven chips?

Have feta and hummous, but no pita would be a bit odd without.

There are some apple bon bons left over from the kids weekend stash - would they count as one of my 5 a day?

dippy egg and soldiers

Megglevache · 24/03/2010 21:20

Oh yes.
Got any cucumber? Dunk in hummous? Done.

castille · 24/03/2010 21:25

Porridge, usually

Or I'll just pick at things - marmite on toast, cheese and crackers, fruit, chocolate, Haribo...

I love having a picky dinner, it feels fabulously naughty not to be setting a good example

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2010 21:29

BendyBob · 24/03/2010 21:34

Beans on toast with cheese on top

purpleturtle · 24/03/2010 21:35

cashews or crisps

seeker · 24/03/2010 21:37

noodles, a splib of sweet chilli sauce and a handful of mixed seeds. Yum. Might go and do it now.

Or, if feeling in need of serious calories, pasta, grated cheese tomato ketchup and black pepper.

SugarTits · 24/03/2010 21:42

Right then you've inspired me, so have russled up a bowl of stuffed olives, some pastrami (didn't know we had), tortilla chips, hummous and chopped up some cold new potatoes and some pickled cucumber with a bit of mayo - potato salad.

A million calories, but probably better than just crips.

Oh and a vodka tonic.
