Shredded roast chicken, pine nuts, raisins, rosemary and pasta - venetian style chicken pasta.

You roast the chicken (can be chicken legs), shred it, then heat up and mix with the pine nuts, rosemary and raisins. Serve with pasta

Chorizo + beans/chickpeas + tinned tomatoes

Pork fillet + seasoning + potatoes + spinach + cream

Meat + stew veg (yeah I'm cheating!) + wine + stock + pearl barley

haggisaggis · 20/01/2010 16:37

peas + streaky bacon + creme fraiche + parmesan + pasta

spinach + pesto + pasta

chicken breast (diced) + red pesto + breadcrumbs

(am actually struggling to think of anything I make regularly that has more than 5 ingredients!)

chorizo + mushrooms + onions + peppers + rice. Fry veg on hob, add chorizo, stir in rice, add double eater to rice = lovely supper.

Mushrooms + garlic + white wine/stock + cream + pasta = lovely pasta sauce.

Curry paste + veg + chicken/prawns + tinned toms + coconut milk = lovely quick curry to serve with rice/naan as required.

This thread is making me so hungry

apparently in Australia there is some sort of cooking show in which each dish has 4 ingredients

link.

when my MIL visited last she gave me a cookbook. If you'd like it, CAT me - I'm never going to use it as (i) it has no pictures and (ii) I was marginally insulted on being presented with it shortly following her arrival. it wasn't presented in a GOOD way....

legalalien · 21/01/2010 13:02

important point - the cook book she gave me is the cook book from the show....

BellaBear · 21/01/2010 17:55

ah thank you - I won't as I'm useless with recipe books, but this thread has really inspired me! Thanks everyone so much

Lemon (2) + Honey (2 tbsp) + Dried Rosemary + Chicken thighs (6-8)

Juice lemons. Mix up with honey and rosemary. Pour over chicken. Throw in lemon skins. Cook at 180 for 35 min.

Tasty. A Rachel Allen recipe. I serve it with rice and veg.

brockleybelle · 26/01/2010 19:36

apple juice or white wine + chicken stock + chicken thighs + lemons + olive oil

Pour apple juice and stock over thighs (skins removed). Add juice of lemons and throw in skins. Drizzle over olive oil and season.

Cover tightly with foil. Cook at about 180 for 2 hours or so. Remove foil 15 min before serving to brown.

Serve with rice, cheese sauce, veg, jacket potatoes etc.

Pork tenderloins + djion mustard + runny honey + wine vinegar + breadcrumbs

Choose thin cut tenderloins. Tenderise by bashing with rolling pin. Mix up equal parts honey and mustard. Add splash of vinegar and mix. Coat in breadcrumbs. Fry. Keep warm in low oven while you cook the rest.

(Courtesy of Rachael Ray, Food Network. Very yummy).
