i mean not a restaurant
and of course you ate it politely and never once said you your h " shit remember the mouldy trifle sponge with evaporatedcream on it" as you are NicE people.

but if you ever had a dark thought ( altho i know its NOT popular on mumsnet atm) let rip here

Just remembered some colleagues who invited us around a few times. A couple, and they always make two dishes each - so she'll make the starter and a dessert and he will make the main course and another dessert, for example - but they never go together. And portions are ENORMOUS.

Last time we went over we had Sushi followed by liver casserole followed by a choice between rice pudding (really horrid one) or crepe suzette (except the pancakes were as thick as an omelette).

I was actually physically sick when I got home.

God, I hope they aren't on MN.

Dreadful dreadful supper with friends:

They were on some sort of weird diet so no fats or salt.

Starter was a carrot and apple soup that tasted like warm water with a spoonful of apple juice.

Main course was described as a curry but appeared to be boiled cabbage mixed with watered down peanut butter topped with a raw chilli.

God it was awful and I was pregnant so couldn't even get pissed to drown the horror of it!

Dh and i were invited for a meal at a friends and she had cooked steak and chips ,she told us there was a surprise in the steak ,it was oysters,she had cut the steak and stuffed the oysters in but even the steak where there werent any tasted of them ,it was ghastly and the only time i have ever wanted to be sick eating someone elses food.
