OK, so my DH says that when a recipe calls for a tablespoon, what it really means is a dessert spoon, since NO-ONE has tablespoons. He claims that this is true because we don't have any tablespoons and because he has never seen one in a shop. I think we don't have any because we have never bought any and that he has never seen one in a shop because he has never been into a kitchen equipment shop...
