Mashed potato, spaghetti hoops and skinless sausages for my little cherubs. Does that come out good or bad on the MN good mum guide?

tortoiseshell · 20/05/2005 18:15

Pasta with (dd) - tomato sauce with tuna, garlic, mushroom, carrot (ds) - cheese, baked beans, spoonful of above sauce.

Dd will eat every bit. Ds will leave the sauce. But at least when I gave him his plate he said 'Thank you - you're a really good mum.'. So I don't care if he doesn't eat it now!

Homemade tomato & basil sauce with wholewheat pasta. An apple and an orange (some of each). Yoghurt or cheese if she is still hungry. All organic

It is funnt how some people seem to be embarrasse by what I see as ot oo bad at all

This week (if I can remember) They had sausage, mash, gravy, broccoli, carrots on Monday. Tuesday Ican't remember. Wednesday Mince and onion, sweetcorn, peas and carrots all mixed up, with new potatoes. DD2 ate the potatoes no mince. Thursday tuna pasta, today mince - rejigged with sliced potatoes. DD2 ate just the potatoes. Ice cream and choc sauce for pud and a pack of crisps. They are now jumping around on my bed while I contemplate bedtime

I try to do pasta one night, mince of some sort another, chicken in some way a third, fish (tuna or white fish or fingers) a fourth, and sausages or whatever the fifth. DD1 eats great, dd2 is picky, but then she goes to bed hungry if necessary

beckymumof3 · 20/05/2005 20:42

I am in the throes of m/s and can't face cooking at the moment so my poor kids had veggie sausages, waffles, baked beans, raw carrots and cucumber. Reading it back, I suppose its not too bad!

Gobbledigook · 20/05/2005 20:45

Mine had friends over so we had a 'picnic' tea - ham, jam, cheese sandwiches, hula hoops, sliced apple, cubes of cheese, chopped cherry toms and cucumber. They had a FAB lolly afterwards and some shrek biscuits!!

This week they've had:

Fish fingers, peas, home made chips
Chicken and vegetable cous cous (didn't eat much!)
Beans on toast
Picnic tea x2

wheresmyfroggy · 20/05/2005 21:01
