Mashed potato, spaghetti hoops and skinless sausages for my little cherubs. Does that come out good or bad on the MN good mum guide?

DD (3 in August) had sauage casserole & mash

I have no idea what DH & the DSs are having as I'm sitting for a fellow MNer and so i'm not there to cook it . Prob frozen pizza, although DH is a fabulous and creative cook, he just can't be arsed in the week.

NomDePlume · 19/05/2005 19:46

Gobbledigook · 19/05/2005 19:48

honda ds had a lovely tea but we did have chippy chips for lunch. I tend not to give a lot of processed food mainly because he wont eat it unless its take away.

tortoiseshell · 19/05/2005 19:50

sobernow - why ? If my children had eaten that I would be !!!!!!

motherpeculiar · 19/05/2005 19:51

gave dd1 beans and pasta - she ate one spoon of beans only

she had a chocbutton as she used the loo herself (it's that time for us)

then she sneaked a biscuit, had an actimel and a cup of goat's milk

so, in short, crap
she is currently caterwauling in bed

DD2 has had about 4 boob fulls of finest breastmilk, she is currently blissed out

i've had two glases of riesling and some delicious olive bread
i'm currently happy enough even though the crappest mum on here tonight i think

DS age 3.2mth Pasta tubes with (Dolmio) stir through bacon and tom sauce, with grated mozarella and wholemeal pitta, banana and a yoghurt - he also dived into my jar of pine nuts and sunflower seeds

HondaDream · 19/05/2005 20:18

I was just curious about stuff no malice intended I often feed my kids crap when it suits me either I am too tired or not been shopping. I have sometimes been known give just Nutella sandwhiches which my kids love. I was just wondering...(sorry to sort of highjack the thread a bit).

Hondadream - Just wait till the weekend. We try and eat as good as we can during the wek, but weekends I definitely can't be bothered. Pizza, take aways and eating out all the way then!

darlingbud · 19/05/2005 20:48

dd, dh and me have all had cheese and tomato omelette and slimming world chips. dd aslo had broccolli with hers as she eats it by the bucket full.

triceratops · 19/05/2005 21:19

We had gnocchi and tomato and marscapone sauce out of a jar with salad. Then chocolate angel delight (mmmmmmmmm). I dont cook.

singersgirl · 19/05/2005 22:54

Split pea soup, followed by potato pancakes (won't be making them again - far too much trouble), fruit puree for DS2 who won't eat solid fruit, a peeled pear for DS1 and vanilla yoghurt lollies in the bath (sounds bizarre, but contains the drips).

wheresmyfroggy · 19/05/2005 22:56

DD1 had home-made all organic shepherds pie

We had a take away curry

DD2 is having milk

strugstu · 19/05/2005 23:45

SoupDragon · 20/05/2005 17:48

nutcracker · 20/05/2005 17:49

Kids have got Fishfingers, new pots and peas and sweetcorn with parsley sauce.

Carla · 20/05/2005 17:50

On Friday, they're allowed cr**p. Whether or not they'll eat it is another story. But it's sozzies and chips.

Merlin · 20/05/2005 17:51

DS1 - sausages, mash and carrots (just about the only veg he'll eat!).

Us - I'm trying to fight the urge for a curry ......

Carla · 20/05/2005 17:52

In fact, they're allowed cr**p most days, and still won't eat it. But then I've been down every route ....

MarsLady · 20/05/2005 17:54

Baked potatoes, broccoli, lamb chops and my veggie child is having tuna mayo with her pots

Merlin · 20/05/2005 17:56

My sausages aren't crap - they're organic!

Carla · 20/05/2005 17:59

Merlin, so are mine, you cheeky cow . I was thinking more of taste refinement, rather than content! Yours, J Oliver
