Me - anchovies.

I love fish but these have put me off food for at least half an hour!!

I agree with those who don't like wine. Actually I go further as I don't like the taste of any alcohol so don't drink at all.

I would love to share a bottle of wine with DH. I was going to say it tastes like vinegar but actually I like the taste of vinegar so maybe not.

BallsofSteel · 15/05/2009 16:02

Oysters and caviar.

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:06

tofu

StarPlayer · 15/05/2009 16:08

Salmon - sounds & looks so lovely - but the taste- yuk

Wine - would really love to like wine, but I don't. I don't like anything alcholic acutally I just like Vimto and Tesco's High Juice

Geepers · 15/05/2009 16:08

chocolate spread. I love chocolate in any other way.

Actually I don't even know if I don't like it but thethought of putting chocolate on a sandwich makes me heave.

MrsMattie · 15/05/2009 16:09

Lamb. I know so many people who say that it is the nicest meat if it's done well - say in a succulent roast or a melt-in-the-mouth tagine - but even the smell of lamb makes me want to heave. I feel sick just thinking about it.

Oh God, yes@Green - tofu. I like most lentil weaver-ish food, but tofu is foul. Tasteless, anaemic and bloody odd.

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:11

I have the same problem with lamb - I like the idea of it, and I want to like it - but it stenches of wet dog

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 15/05/2009 16:17

Lamb
Pate (especially the smooth stuff ), like I imagine eating dhiarrea diahorrea liquidish shit on toast would be
Seafood generally but particularly tuna
Tofu - Mrs Mattie you spelt it out exactly. And I was a vegetarian for 13 years, so kind of had to eat it sometimes.
Turkey - I hate Christmas lunch!!

MrsMattie · 15/05/2009 16:18

Exactly!@Green. My friends don't get what I mean when I say it's the smell of lamb. It's very wet doggy, yes. Or wet sheep, maybe

MrsMuddle · 15/05/2009 16:38

I love the look of yoghurt, and I love the thought of finishing lunch at work with a tasty yoghurt, and there's so much variety, but I just hate the taste!

chisigirl · 15/05/2009 16:39

couscous

Bucharest · 15/05/2009 16:40

Crab- too sweet.
Pumpkin- tastes like it went off. (love butternut though- huh?)
Polenta- tile grout.
Mayonnaise- late pregnancy acid burp.

MadamAnt · 15/05/2009 16:41

chicory - weirdly bitter

Overmydeadbody · 15/05/2009 16:42

aubergines

crab meat - I really want to like it

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:43

god yes aubergines

they look like giant fleshy polyps [puke]

Overmydeadbody · 15/05/2009 16:44

Also, broad beans - I loce all other beans, but not these.

Bucharest · 15/05/2009 16:44

I do like aubergines, but I always think about baby seals when I'm slicing them. (there, if you weren't put off before)
Radicchio- Emperor's New Clothes, tastes like lettuce that a tramp has pissed on.

SusieDerkins · 15/05/2009 16:46

Hmm, you're right. Tramp's piss is really rank.

TsarChasm · 15/05/2009 16:47

Tea and coffee - all that ritual and looking forward to a 'nice cuppa'. I feel so left out! Everybody else loves them, but not me.

I always feel like I'm being so awkward and unsociable and am plagued by MrsDoyle types who won't take no for an answer.

Salleroo · 15/05/2009 16:50

Courgette - too bitter and the middle is like snot

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:51

shellfish - cold, brackish snot. I don't believe anybody really likes oysters. They're all LYING.

TsarChasm · 15/05/2009 16:52

Reading this, I'm rapidly going off some of the other things on here that I previously liked..

bamboobutton · 15/05/2009 16:54

wine - it's like drinking vinegar.

FabulousBakerGirl · 15/05/2009 16:56

geepers chocolate spread on toast?

Sorry, TsarChasm!

'I do like aubergines, but I always think about baby seals when I'm slicing them.'

FGS I always loved aubergines but that image will haunt me
