I wanted to get my sisters a box of chocolates each for easter, not the bitter, dark chocolate but the yummmy milk chocolate ones

Oooh yes! Are the viennese the ball-shaped ones with the crispy coating and insides that melt in your mouth?

LibrasJusticeLeagueofBiscuits · 08/04/2009 13:40

oh my PIL gave me the nicest chocolate truffle box for Christmas and it was milk chocolate as I hate dark chocolate.

I am trembling just thinking about them.

Personally as a milk chocolate freak I don't rate Hotel Chocolat.

hazeyjane · 08/04/2009 13:40

these and this = yummy

not at the same time, though

DarrellRivers · 08/04/2009 13:40

voila

Lilymaid · 08/04/2009 13:48

This selection from Lindt is always acceptable chez Lilymaid - my unsophisticated tastebuds prefer it to poncier artisan type chocolate.

timmette · 08/04/2009 14:10

Neuhaus - lovely and creamy.

Not a box but check these out, gorgeous.

I second Godiva.

ellingwoman · 08/04/2009 15:04

I like Lindt as well. I can eat a whole box of Lindors without feeling the slightest bit sick. Classy stuff

ramonaquimby · 08/04/2009 15:06

chocolate society is lovely too

janeite · 09/04/2009 18:50

I have to say I don't like Hotel Chocolate much - the chocolate is really, really over-sweet.

Montezumas do lovely chocs; otherwise Thorntons Dessert Gallery or Gordon Ramsey's dessert chocs (can't remember what they're called or which supermarket they're done for but they are very nice indeed).

Prestat chocolate is good - expensive though.

LilianGish · 09/04/2009 19:00

Leonidas or Godiva. Also love Geoff de Bruges, but don't think you can get those in the UK.

NorbertDentressangle · 09/04/2009 19:03

Leonidas here too Lilian!

Can you get them here in the UK? We've only ever bought them in Belgium

FrannyandZooey · 09/04/2009 19:07

godiva
i have only had ONE but god it was nice

i think hotel chocolat over priced and mediocre

StealthPolarBear · 09/04/2009 19:09

ellingwoman, were you the one person on that thread about how vile ferrero rocher were that admitted liking them? I knew I remembered you!
Post your address, I think you may get quite a few unwanted boxes through the post!
I have to admit I think you can't beat a dairy milk

StealthPolarBear · 09/04/2009 19:09

have seen the gordon ramsay dessert ones in sainsbury's i'm sure.

LilianGish · 09/04/2009 19:10

There's certainly a shop in Ealing Norbert(LOVE the nickname!) so I'm sure there must be others.

Gorionine · 09/04/2009 19:15

No, no no you have to go Swiss

Please do trust an expert!

bergentulip · 09/04/2009 19:19

neuhaus!!!!!!!

hazeyjane · 09/04/2009 19:56

They do the Gordon Ramsay chocolates in Waitrose, and you could have them instead of a bottle of wine in their recent dine in for £10 offer.

EachPAQUESPearMum · 09/04/2009 21:09

Chococo are very good

EachPAQUESPearMum · 09/04/2009 21:10

Gorionine those chocolates are Nestle

Gorionine · 10/04/2009 08:35

Do Cailler belong to Nestle?

Gorionine · 10/04/2009 08:36

OMG I did not realise! Here go my favourite chocs.

fruitbeard · 10/04/2009 11:05

Second vote for Prestat - their banoffee truffles are LUSH
