Simnelbellavita · 31/03/2009 11:04

Cornflakes without a doubt (made some on Sunday) yum yum

MmeLindt · 31/03/2009 11:04

Cornflakes then put a couple of wee Easter eggs on the top to make instant Easter nests.

girlylala0807 · 31/03/2009 11:04

rice crispies!

Gorionine · 31/03/2009 11:05

Cornflakes! Used to make them back home and call them Chocolate Rocks! My mouth is watering just at the thought of them!

EyeballsintheSky · 31/03/2009 11:06

Dare I ask for a recipe? In my defence, dd isn't old enough to make them yet but I might make some for my nieces for Easter.

MamaG · 31/03/2009 11:07

seeing that it is almost easter...why not use shredded wheat instead

marmitebabe · 31/03/2009 11:08

rice krispies
easiest recipe is melting chocolate and adding rice krispies stirring all time until all the choc is used up but it all still sticks together!

Simnelbellavita · 31/03/2009 11:08

You also need butter and golden syrup MamaG for extra goeyness

Gorionine · 31/03/2009 11:08

MmeLindt when we used to do them we used "graisse de coco" do you have any idea what is the equivalent ingredient in the UK? I am feeling an urge to make some but I want them to taste like the ones I am used too!

MmeLindt · 31/03/2009 11:09

Just ordered some Easter eggs from Mum, haven't seen them over here. Thanks for the reminder, MamaG.

I love to put sultanas in crispie cakes.

ZoeC · 31/03/2009 11:10

Cornflakes, and second the golden syrup.

Was thinking earlier I must get some mini-eggs so I can make some nests for easter.

EyeballsintheSky · 31/03/2009 11:11

LOL

I didn;t know if you mixed anything in with the chocolate

MmeLindt · 31/03/2009 11:12

Gorionine
Coconut fat? Coconut oil? You might get it in Thai food shops.

sounds delicious. How much do you put in?

LadyPinkofPinkerton · 31/03/2009 11:12

rice crispies, cornlfakes are too hard

Simnelbellavita · 31/03/2009 11:12

2oz butter
4oz chocolate
5tbsp golden syrp
3oz cornflakes

melt butter, choc and syrup in a pan, add cornflakes and mix - will make about 18 bun cases

Simnelbellavita · 31/03/2009 11:13

syrup

LtEveDallas · 31/03/2009 11:13

Coco Pops!! Did some extra special ones last week with 13 yr old DSD and 4 yr old DD.....
Coco pops
LARGE bar of Galaxy
Small(er) (not tiny) bar of Bournville

Once Cocopops mixed with Galaxy make a dippy in the middle.
Drizzle in Bournville.
Stick on 2 mini eggs.
Put in fridge
......go to fridge every 10 mins to see if set.
......scream 'They're done' at top of voice 40 mins later
......eat copious amounts and feel sick for next 2 hrs......eat more

notamumyetbutoneday · 31/03/2009 11:15

cornflakes and mini eggs

Simnelbellavita · 31/03/2009 11:15

I do have a "Rice Krispie Bites" recipe...

3 mars bars
100g chocolate
3oz butter
3 tbsp golden syrup
5 cups rice krispies

cut up the mars bars and melt with the butter and syrup. Stir in rice krispies.

Chill.

Melt the chocolate and spread over krispie mixture, when hard cut into squares

sockmonkey · 31/03/2009 11:41

Well, DH votes Cornflakes, DC vote rice krispies, and I vote shredded wheat.

Make of that what you will
