i need to buy another book from bol.com to fulfill my membership agreement. i have narrowed it down to books by these two. any advice?

I've got La Karmel but rarely use it, tbh. It's pretty patronising imo, although lots of people do like her recipes. I'd go for "Dr" McKeith probably.

DO NOT buy that charlatan's books!!!! (referring to McKeith) - honestly, she's a complete quack and there's been a horde of articles in the Guardian exposing her fake qualifications and completely bizarre and unscientific ideas.

Any other choices?!

I like Karmel - okay, she's faffy at baby level, but at Adult level (the Family Meal Planner for example) there's good range of meals in there, some quick some more complex AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM less faffy and easier to make than Jamie's supposedly easy grass roots Dinners book!

Yeah, but snafu - you'd then be paying her for being a con artist ... really can't stand the woman.

am trying to get the kids to eat better atm, kind of assumed these might be good choices. am rethinking already! i can obviously get something else, just thought they might be helpful. has anyone anything good to say about either or should i just get a nice girly novel to read in the bath?

If the Karmel one is Family Meal Planner go for it. I use at least 2 recipes out of it a week, and there's only been a few I dislike out of there (not a fan of fish).

snafu - yeah the baby one is a bit ott in places, but then both dses have enjoyed it when I've made the effort. Well okay, ds2 just spat out the sole, but don't get in the way between him and lovely lentils

I do agree with you about McKeith, Georgina, I just think I hate Karmel more for her stupid Dynasty hair and her stupid smug liver-scoffing family.

i loved my karmel book and plan on using it again with number 2,

and that gillian women just annoys me, if you put anyone on the diets she does they will lose weight but that sort of diet is not sustainable!! fruit and veg only, i don't think so! it basically just a detox!

cant say i have ever knowingly come across a mung bean snafu, ta for the advice! there are veggies and there are chips & chocolate veggies. we are trying to move from the latter to the former
