What colour KItchenAid would you like?

When I went to the sales last week all the good stiff was gone, so I came home empty handed. I was baking this morning and had a brainwave - I'll buy a KitchenAid with my sales money

I'll have to save a bit extra, so won't get it for a few weeks, which gives me time to decide what colour to get! Kitchen is cream and stainless steel, so I could just go for the cream one, but I think maybe the red would cheer me up every time I used it!

Here are the colours. Which would you choose?

I'd go for the matt black tbh.

I like the other colours but I'd be annoyed by it if I chose to change the colour of my kitchen and it didn't go

blametheparents · 04/01/2009 14:57

Aaah, NomdePlume you are so sensible and tho my favourite is the Ice, I would probably have to agree with you.

Cadelaide · 04/01/2009 14:58

red, definitely

CharleeinChains · 04/01/2009 14:59

Apple Green.

VanillaPumpkin · 04/01/2009 15:00

I was going to say cream but I would actually get the grey or cornflower blue.

pagwatch · 04/01/2009 15:01

I got the cream one four years ago and it has fitted beautifully in both my kitchens. It goes with everything

AllBuggiedOut · 04/01/2009 15:01

I have red, and love it. Finding it difficult to imagine a colour of kitchen that it wouldn't go with... Matt black too dull (and doesn't feel as nice when you stroke it )

ismellofbabysick · 04/01/2009 15:03

am quite loving boysenberry

pagwatch · 04/01/2009 15:03

they all feel lovely when you stroke them.
I use mine endlessly. I still [heart] it

Piccalilli2 · 04/01/2009 15:04

I have the charcoal grey and it looks fabulous.

ComeOVeneer · 04/01/2009 15:06

I got the boysenberry one from dh for christmas. I would recommend also getting a spare bowl.

HoorayHenry · 04/01/2009 15:08

Do they grate and slice though?

HoorayHenry · 04/01/2009 15:09

and do they make breadcrumbs?

ComeOVeneer · 04/01/2009 15:10

You can get all kinds of acessories

pagwatch · 04/01/2009 15:12

Hooray
you are soooo missing the point .
You either 'get' the kitchenaid thing or you don't. It is like love, or God...that kind of thing.

HoorayHenry · 04/01/2009 15:14

but does it do those things? That is what i use a foodprocessor for.
Otherwise I use an electric handwhisk.

pagwatch · 04/01/2009 15:17

see. you don't get it...

HoorayHenry · 04/01/2009 15:19

What is there to get. I want one that DOES somethin.

pagwatch · 04/01/2009 15:21

You want one because it is beauutiful and it whisks and kneads and it makes you want to bake, a lot, and stroke it, and shine it.

If you don't get that then you don't get it.

If you just want something that does stuff then get a Kenwood.

ComeOVeneer · 04/01/2009 15:23

It does do things HH, it opens cans, makes pasta, makes icecream, slices, stains, juices, stuffs sausages etc and its Pretty!

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 15:29

I would love a kitchen aid.

MrsMuddle · 04/01/2009 15:49

A boysenberry one for the sink end of the kitchen to look at while I do the dishes, and a red one for the table end of the kitchen to look at the rest of the time.

ismellofbabysick · 04/01/2009 15:53

Mrs Muddle that's just greedy
Tho' I like your thinking!

hippipotami · 04/01/2009 15:53

I really really really want a KitchenAid, have done for over 5 years now...
I want to bake more, look at it and stroke it...
But they are sooo expensive

But if I could every have one, I would struggle to decide between boysenberry or apple. (I have always loved the ice blue but I believe you cannot get that colour over here?)
Or perhaps the cream one....

Oh, I can but dream

girlandboy · 04/01/2009 15:54

I would get an Ice one, but then again I have other things in a similar colour. But for macherie then I would probably plump for the red one!
