they are made of things which are a bit far away from normal food. my parents ate some when in america and think it is local cuisine.

MrsMattie · 07/10/2008 21:13

OMG they are vile. The smell outside the shops makes me want to hurl. They had a meatball sub and a carbonara sub advertised in my local one recently. I could have puked just looking at the pictures of them in the window

bundle · 07/10/2008 21:15

on their website, the words:

Reformed meat

SorenLorensen · 07/10/2008 21:15

Funny how many people have mentioned the smell - that's what has always put me off too. It smells so artificial - like none of the ingredients are quite real.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 07/10/2008 21:16

There is a branch of Subway underneath my office. It smells like Satan's scrote.

Apparently they put square eggs in their sarnies. I mean, square eggs? WTF?

jenk1 · 07/10/2008 21:16

uuurgh, they are the pits. not even sure they use real bread.

Lubyloo · 07/10/2008 21:19

I love Subway. Used to live in America and was really happy when we finally started getting them open here. They bake all the bread on the premises so not sure why you think it is an artificial smell.

bundle · 07/10/2008 21:19

now the bread got a special mention on the Worst Food Ever programme

can't remember if it was to do with transfats or something else..

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/10/2008 21:20

Urgh no, can't stand Subway, imo they are vile. They taste rank.

MrsThierryHenry · 07/10/2008 21:20

Just the idea of a Subway sarnie is enough to make me spew. Eugh!

jenk1 · 07/10/2008 21:21

well i LIKE THEM SO THERE

OP posts:
JodieG1 · 07/10/2008 21:27

I can't stand them. A friend of a friend works there and when they didn't get a delivery of rolls one day they had to fish the previous day's ones out the bin, I kid you not.

I don't like Subway bread, it tastes like cardboard to me.

DoubleBluff · 07/10/2008 21:37

I cannot understand the fuss about Subway, even a MAcdonlads is a healthier alternative to this putrid rubbish!

bundle · 07/10/2008 21:38
