Tesco sold my chicken - I am gutted

We arrived at Tescos & went straight to the cooked chicken counter and asked for a chicken to be put to one side for us (or it was hot when we finished shopping)

We shopped & then I sent DD back to get it

The lady had sold it by mistake

I have no cooked chicken for tea

I am gutted

So did they give you a free voucher?

At the risk of hijacking your thread, my dh has just been to 3 different chinese takeaways and they are all SHUT.

He has texted me to put something in the oven - well I am busy tidying up drinking wine and mnetting so I have suggested he comes back with chips and when I hear the car I will put some ham and salad on the plates.

Katy do you like chips? Could be a solution (massive apologies if you are healthy and are offended by this suggestion)

why bother with ham and salad and just get fish and chips?!!

Posie dh is coeliac and has to watch his diet (gluten free) plus I was trying to be a bit healthy!? Chips and salad quite nice and not much cooking for me lol.

Nah no takeaways (they are miles away & most shut at about 7:30 - we are in the country)

I put it to defrost in water & will cook later

Love chips (please see previous statement about takeaways)

Oh just small things going wrong Posie, DH in & out of Papworth, existing business going belly up, new business shelved, stuff like that
