Favourite M&S Goodies

I feel like treating myself so I'm planning on heading to M&S tomorrow for a few treats.

What should I have? Anything goes meals, drinks, sweets, cakes etc.

What's your favourite treat from M&s?

I'm very partial to their Percy Pigs of course, their sushi, hot smoked salmon and chocolate coated popcorn.

Belgian chocolate peanuts, mmm.

There used to be loads more, but they irritatingly keep discontinuing all my hot favourites.

posieflump · 22/07/2008 13:26

I like their count on us swede and potato mash (think that is what is in it) and risotto
don't rate their wine much tho

cyanarasamba · 22/07/2008 13:27

Those tubs of mini flapjacks, choc rolls etc. Mmmmm!

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2008 13:27

Extremely Chocolatey Caramels

MrsBadger · 22/07/2008 13:27

their Soft Caramels - other shops would put them in a box like Luxury Chocolates but M&S humbly wrap and bag 'em. Like a whole bag of the Caramel Cups from a box of Roses for a distinctly better price.

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2008 13:28

and fresh cheese scones from the bakery bit

Marina · 22/07/2008 13:30

From the Cook! range:

Butterflied leg of lamb
Trout fillets stuffed with crab and red pepper mousse

There is also a really nice British blue farmhouse cheese whose name I cannot remember

Those flapjacks and extremely chocolatey caramels are excellent but verboten for me at the mo

whooosh · 22/07/2008 13:30

francagoestohollywood · 22/07/2008 13:38

I loved their tuna pate.
I also liked their carrot cake and the mozzarella di bufala. And fair trade plain chocolate.

Pennies · 22/07/2008 13:41

Sorry - hijack - whooosh, you have mail.

Going to back to M&S, their dark chocolate fondant stuff is ace, especially when spread on Rich Tea bikkies....

yum yums - yummmeeeee!

onepieceoflollipop · 22/07/2008 13:49

Fio is right - walnut whips.

Also they do a swiss roll that has cappuccino buttercream inside and chocolate coating outside. Make sure you don't pick up the wrong box - there is a version with no chocolate on the outside.

ham and mushroom tagliatelle.

Egg · 22/07/2008 13:51

Thai style fishcakes are fabulous.

DH is partial to their trifles.

DS1's fave thing is Mighty Meaty Pasta .

whooosh · 22/07/2008 13:52

Oh and the croissants-you can taste the butter.....

Egg · 22/07/2008 13:52

OMG yes, the refrigerator cakes are heavenly........ They come in a pack of 6 and last about 3 hours max in our house (DS1 is not allowed them because they are wasted on him).
