haven't had them for years - any other fans ?
I tend to avoid any clumpy ones - I like plain stuff like a cornflake or branflake...my grandpa always had to have the coco pops in the Variety packs...
anyone remember Puffa Puffa Rice ?

Coco pops were always my favourite. I am partial to a cornflake though

MrsMattie · 26/06/2008 16:23

I force myself to eat porridge or sugar free muesli, but my secret fave - Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Divine with very cold milk.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 16:25

mmm, crunchy nut c/flakes are heavenly but can't bring myself to have them for breakfast - I need to start the day in a spartan manner (except for when I have brioche and nutella)

What are cornflakes like? I always wonder, but never actually buy them.
I like Shreddies and coco pops but usually stick to porridge because I ahve developoed a strange relationship with milk.

JeremyVile · 26/06/2008 16:27

NO, no, no.... I KNOW what cornflakes are like (I don't live in a cave), I meant what are grapenuts like?

wabbit · 26/06/2008 16:33

JeremyVile.... the grapenut question is subjective, if you were to ask me I would say they are nasty!!! bleurgh!

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 17:29

grape nuts are like very small crunchy bits of malty grit, don't get soggy in milk...delicious !

oh I luuurrrvve grape nuts.

Am also partial to maple and pecan crunch. It doesn't get much beter than that.

OverMyDeadBody · 26/06/2008 17:34

I don't understand the obsession with cocopops though, chocolate and cereal just don't go together, imo, and like rice crispies they don't actually fill you up do they?

TheChicken · 26/06/2008 17:34

dramaqueen · 26/06/2008 17:35

I luuurve Cheerios.

Not had grapenuts for years.....

Am also partial to Alpen and the Dorset cereals are divine but expensive.

I should buy something as I am not good at eating breakfast!

cazzybabs · 26/06/2008 17:47

i love grapenuts too with alpen in the same bowl.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 17:48

porridge is lovely but a faff to make (don't have time and don't have microwave either) - I love it with milk and brown sugar - and one of my favourite breakfast treats is cornflakes stirred into Greek yogurt and honey...

pointydog · 26/06/2008 17:49

grapenuts

how are yer grapenuts, madam

wabbit · 26/06/2008 17:57

Now you see, I don't understand the appeal of malty hard gritty bits in yer milk of a morning... Grape nuts!!

Aefondkiss · 26/06/2008 17:58

I love porridge and I don't find it a faff, even though I am sans microwave - but it is more a autumn/late spring/winter breakfast imo.

I like muesli type stuff but nothing sweet.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 17:59

they are strangely compelling though...

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 17:59

the faff is more the cleaning of the pan after, really !

OP posts:
ButterflyMcQueen · 26/06/2008 18:01

i luuuurve clumpy ready brek
even nicer than porridge
no sugar

also love crunchy nut and coco pops but the milk has to be 'proper' cold

WoWWidow · 26/06/2008 18:03

I always thought grapenuts were something else....

I love mueseli, but HATE raisins/sultanas so end up picking them out. By the time i have done that im not hungry any more.

So i stick to cornflakes.

pointydog · 26/06/2008 18:04

grapenuts are something else

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/06/2008 18:05

In the USA on holiday I used to stuff myself with Froot Loops and Count Chocula
