I know it's good for you and want to incorporate into my diet.

How much do you eat?
When?
What type?

Not quite so much in winter but regularly in summer. Greek yoghurt 5% or 10% all the way, not "greek style". I quite often make my own & strain it to make thick yoghurt.
Edited to add - breakfast mainly, but also after a meal. I have it with honey, nuts, seeds, fruit

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 21/01/2026 12:34

I eat it at least once a day, usually for lunch with granola. Longley Farm Greek or their hazelnut ones, preferably.

Nomedshere · 21/01/2026 12:34

I have greek yoghurt ( not greek style) most days for breakfast

BIWI · 21/01/2026 12:35

On average, probably every other day. Always 10% fat Greek yoghurt (not Greek-style). I buy 2 x 500g pots a week.

Sometimes I have it for breakfast or lunch, occasionally an early evening snack.

Sweetiedarling7 · 21/01/2026 12:37

None. I have never liked it in any form. That horrible dry slightly chalky tang. Bleugh.

HelenHywater · 21/01/2026 12:38

Hardly ever as it triggers my IBS, but I do really like the full fat Greek yoghurt.

HelenHywater · 21/01/2026 12:38

(also not the greek style stuff).

Nincompoo · 21/01/2026 12:39

3 or 4 times a week with mango and seeds, or granola. Always full fat Greek yogurt.

Serafee · 21/01/2026 12:41

Full fat Greek yoghurt (not Greek style which is not the same thing) which only has milk as its ingredient. Every day for breakfast with berries. If I feel like I need something sweet after dinner I’d go for yoghurt too as the better option over cake/pudding/biscuits

Kongking12 · 21/01/2026 12:42

I find it very easy to overeat nice yoghurt. Rachels or yeo valley in particular full fat and full of sugar but delicious. Oh the best is the collective gourmet.

When I was younger I was legitimately addicted to the yoghurt that comes in a muller fruit corner. I would eat pack after pack, not the fruit bit just the yoghurt.

If its greek yoghurt that's actually good for you I can limit myself to a small bowl with berries.

Teenagerantruns · 21/01/2026 12:42

I try to eat it, in reality l buy a big pot of it, it sits in tbe fridge mostly uneaten until it goes out of date. L do actually like yougurt but never seen to get round to eating it

notnorman · 21/01/2026 12:45

Every day with nuts seeds berries

indigoemerald · 21/01/2026 12:46

I have Greek yogurt (not Greek style!) every day for my breakfast with homemade granola and fruit.

DH and I probably get through about 1.5kg- 2kg of the stuff each week. We both go to the gym/work out most days, so it’s an easy and tasty protein source for us.

Allsigns · 21/01/2026 12:49

As a family we have it most days. Again usually full fat greek yogurt, bit occasionally a flavoured big pot of Yeo valley flavoured stuff as a treat.

We have it either for breakfast or after dinner with fruit, seeds, nuts, honey etc as a sort of dessert. Found it's a great one for filling up the kids for a full night's sleep! Quite often gets stirred into porridge as well for some extra creaminess, or we use it to take the zing out of a hot chilli. Have also used it to make two ingredient flatbread which is delicious with a shakshuka. Whip it into feta, use it as a base for a mint, yogurt sauce, make our own fro yo. Reading this back I think I should have shares in Fage!

Been noticing these greek yogurt cheesecake videos, has anyone actually tried it?

Muddywelliescleansocks · 21/01/2026 12:52

Tried loads of yoghurts over the years as don’t like taste of milk so worry don’t get enough calcium. For last 5 years been having yogurt most days for breakfast with fruit. Current favourite is gourmet collection (mango) which I have with a banana and a small amount of nuts. M&S do a split pot with cherry or apricot Greek style that’s also nice. Or proper Greek yoghurt to which I add honey. Never eat yoghurt at other times of the day although always tell myself I should instead of reaching for a biscuit after dinner.

SirBasil · 21/01/2026 12:53

in winter not much (porridge for breakfast). In spring, summer and autumn? about 2 litres a week. I make it myself from full-fat milk.

what's the difference?

Bownessbay · 21/01/2026 12:55

@Serafee @Wonderknicks can I ask why not Greek style or is it just not to your taste? I have Greek style every day - it's listed as made with milk and has a decent amount of protein in. I buy it as it's not high in fat and is affordable - am I eating yoghurt wrong?!

Pic of packet

Bownessbay · 21/01/2026 12:56

Ah I don't think the photo will attach for some reason, or is pending approval

NarnianQueen · 21/01/2026 12:56

I want to know too! Everyone is very emphatic about not eating Greek-style! 😂

FalseSpring · 21/01/2026 12:56

I have a natural bio yoghurt (non Greek) for breakfast everyday with seeds and nuts and honey.

EnchantedDaytime · 21/01/2026 12:58

Most days for breakfast with seeds, nuts and berries, sometimes a tiny bit of jam or honey. Greek or Greek style (I get the latter from an organic farm from the milkman and it's lovely). Full fat always, 10%. Also use it for salad dressings, marinades, cooking, eat it on the side with spicy food, make it into yogurt drinks (lassi). Sometimes if I fancy something sweet in the evening I have it with a bit of jam or berries or maple syrup.

“Greek style” is essentially ‘normal’ yogurt with additives to make it taste/look like Greek Yogurt. It generally doesn’t have the same nutritional benefits; for example, Greek Yogurt is higher in protein and is typically lower in fat/sugar.

wishingonastar101 · 21/01/2026 12:59

I eat full fat greek yogurt and kefir everyday - with fruit or seeds or chia or just in a bowl.
Also make lebneh by staining yogurt for a few days in a muslin and then serving it with olive oil and pitta.

Yes, you do need to read the labels properly. The Greek style one I buy only has cream added to it, no stabilisers or thickeners.
